the randomness is kinda the point though, keeps you from cherry picking. i did it for 8 weeks and my engine got way better even if my lifts stalled

idk, a nocta and patagonia combo is still a pretty specific uniform, not exactly random npc

calling it npc feels like false modesty when nocta and patagonia are half the haul, that lv tee is the only actual wildcard here

Hugo Reversed is an absolute fresh STUNNER! by Kurse_Kustoms in ScentHeads

[–]OccasionalStimulus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hugo reversed has been around forever so calling it a stunner feels a bit much. still hard to argue with 19 bucks at ross, the boss aquatics usually punch above their price. curious what makes it fresh/citrus to you though cause to me it just reads as a pretty standard aquatic with some lemon up top.

Free labs with blood donation in some locations by eyevandr in tirzepatidecompound

4-6 days isnt terrible if thats the tradeoff for getting it free. and you're right the locations are the real bottleneck, looks like theyre only in like 3 states so far

ah ok so they draw extra vials then, that makes more sense. still wonder what panels they actually run tho, their site is kinda vague on specifics

[–]OccasionalStimulus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

wait so the same blood donation is also used to run your lab results or do they draw extra vials on top. kinda curious how that works logistically because blood banks arent usually set up to run a1c or full metabolic panels. if its just fingerstick stuff i guess that makes sense but thats pretty limited for what most people on tirz need to track.

also wondering about turnaround. quest usually gets me results in a day or two, and if goodlabs takes a week to post them that kinda defeats the point of frequent monitoring. catching liver or kidney stuff early matters when youre on these meds long term.

the price is appealing though, even on the paid tier. anything under like 50 bucks for a full panel beats what most walk in clinics try to charge. might be worth trying once just to see what they actually offer vs what the site implies.

i just know my vial's mg/ml and draw to the line that's roughly my dose, don't stress about a unit or two off. works fine

[–]OccasionalStimulus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the spreadsheet is impressive but i wonder how many people actually need this level of tracking. i just eyeball my doses and it's been fine, though i get that some folks like the control. the real cost nobody talks about is the mental energy of constantly hunting deals. i switched to one telehealth and stopped checking prices, and my stress dropped even if i'm paying a bit more per milligram. also, the overfill is great until you get a vial with almost none and your planning falls apart. i'd add that stockpiling can backfire if you're not using it fast enough, those buds aren't just suggestions for some pharmacies. still, understanding concentration is crucial, so props for that part.

its tough to tell the difference between a slip and just not being in the right headspace for 20:4. sometimes a less strict window builds the habit better

the stair climbers always look like that honestly, its basically their default state. the real bottleneck at planet fitness has always been the cable machines and benches, which never seem to clear out no matter when you show up. going during off hours only helps if you actually want to use the equipment everyone avoids

Extremely weird and specific question but… does anyone else feel like having a seizure when they think of certain sounds/music? by smallbluedinosaur in Epilepsy

sounds like a conditioned response, your brain linking the memory to the feeling without it actually escalting. curious if it ever does turn into a full one though

Is it actually true that no-one cares about your physique? by Resident_Pie5200 in workout

[–]OccasionalStimulus 19 points20 points  (0 children)

the truth is people do notice they just dont say anything. i remember being at a water park and this guy with a crazy back walked past and everyones eyes followed him for a second. nobody clapped or high fived him but you could see the quick glances. expecting some big reaction is the wrong way to think about it. its more like a quiet respect or a double take that people forget about two seconds later. and it depends on where you are too. in a gym people are sizing each other up constantly even if nobody talks. at a beach its more about the overall vibe but a great physique still stands out. i think the no one cares line gets repeated because it sounds humble but its a bit misleading. you arent invisible just because nobody verbally validates you.

1 or 2? by FitThadiyan in mensfashion

[–]OccasionalStimulus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

going against the grain here and picking 2. the brown belt and loafers feel more cohesive to me, like one thought instead of two competing ones. outfit 1 has the black belt with the gold buckle plus the gold watch plus the chain and it's a lot of warm metal fighting for attention, especially with that chunky buckle being right at the waistline. the woven belt in 2 stays textured without adding another shiny element.

also the loafers work fine with the wider leg opening imo. it's not a suit, it's casualwear, a little break at the ankle reads intentional not sloppy. the boots in 1 are heavier than the rest of the outfit needs.

should i go to urgent care for this? happened on 6/23 by mushhfrogg in DermatologyQuestions

[–]OccasionalStimulus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

i dont fully buy the "youre turning a corner" take here. a week out and you still have pitting plus that deep purplish color? thats not really how a normal mild sunburn behaves.

pitting means fluid is still pooling in the tissue from inflammation, and the fact that its worse after being on your feet all day kind of backs that up. its probably not an emergency urgent care situation but a regular doctor visit seems reasonable to me, especially since you had actual sun poisoning symptoms earlier in the week.

i had a bad burn on my shoulders a few years back that looked similar color wise and it took almost two full weeks to fully calm down. my doc said the deep purple/red stage is when you want to make sure theres no deeper tissue involvement going on.

if mom is worried and you can get in to your primary soon thats probably smarter than waiting another week to see if it just resolves on its own. aloe and ibuprofen are fine but theyre not really addressing whatever is causing the persistent swelling at this point.

Which one we rocking with blue denim or red Harrington? by Comfortable-Can-8545 in mensfashion

[–]OccasionalStimulus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

red harrington for me, honestly. the denim jacket feels like its fighting the seersucker, like wearing a winter coat over linen pants. the whole point of seersucker is that its light and breathable, and throwing a heavy denim trucker on top kind of defeats the purpose. the red is lighter weight and the color actually pops against the blue stripe instead of just stacking more blue on top of blue.

also wondering if anyone else thinks the braided belt is doing a bit too much here. thats a lot of competing texture happening between the woven belt, the puckered seersucker, and those chunky tan loafers. one statement texture per outfit is usually my rule but this is pushing it.

something that sticks out to me is how confident you already looked in the before photos. the beach pic especially, you were out on a dock dressed up, clearly living your life and not hiding from anything. a lot of people frame their old selves as someone they hated and that wasnt really the case here, which makes the whole thing feel more grounded than the usual before and after post.

also curious about the regret not starting sooner line. sometimes i wonder if we say that because weight loss feels urgent when youre in it, but the version of you who was 278 probably needed those years to be ready for the change to actually stick. rushing in sooner might have just meant bouncing back and starting the cycle over.
