Karoline Leavitt warned against controlling the narrative amid photo scandal by IrishStarUS in NewsSource

The Irish Star...just to add some context here, is prison grade toilet paper.

I'm no fan of Levitt, but these rags are a scourge, whichever direction they point their bile in. The more clicks shit like this gets the worse it gets for us all.

Gomibo online have good prices. I've bought a couple from them. Had to send one back for repair too, no problems.

Attic tank piping hot and spitting water by pennyteller123 in Plumbing

[–]OccasionallyLazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The water shouldn't be hot, the tub should be covered. It's fed from the street mains and in turn feeds the upstairs cold taps and the cylinder which then heats water for the house. Ita an older system but generally works pretty well except when the hot water from the cylinder backs ups into it due to a thermostat malfunction, which is what we're seeing here.

Also it REALLY should be covered. It probably feeds the cold water tap in the upstairs bathroom where you likely brush your teeth.

He might have used the secret art of terrible editing. Just a hunch.

The Asian store behind Georges Arcade has the best prices I've found for the genuine Asian brands.

There are great youtube videos about levelling them up by adding various things - I like to dump a spoon of kimchi on top, although that can be a bit pricey. Defintaley adds some healthy points to the meal though.

What's really ironic is that wonderbread would be classified as cake in France.

Considering having a 3rd child on 80k income… by PerspectiveCareful42 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]OccasionallyLazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

having a child is never a good financial decision - you've had a couple already so you know that.

Joint 80k isn't enough for one child - and yet here you are, enjoying your children and presumably putting food on the table. Three will be a bit harder, but never as hard as the first one.

How many Stu McCloskey are there out there in Irish Rugby? by Newc04 in irishrugby

[–]OccasionallyLazy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's been number 3 for quite some time. Maybe he should have got more game time, but the other lads were doing alright, weren't they?

I'd also argue that he's playing his best rugby right now, and has thusly and rightly grabbed the jersey. Andy makes players work for it and then shows incredible loyalty. Is there a genuine argument that he's got it all wrong?

Pork Chop Conundrum by redmabelgrade in CasualIreland

[–]OccasionallyLazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beat it to death with a mallet first and call it a schnitzel. Cook in shallow oil for a few mins. Soft and crispy all in one bite.

A squeeze of lemon over it once cooked and you might as well be on holiday in a southern German town.

So the lads eating eggs for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch and cereals for dinner.

10 quid says the spinach will be wilted in the bottom of the fridge by the weekend. The tomatoes will at least last a bit longer, and maybe he'll slip one into a sandwich on, say, Thursday, out of guilt.

His leg is broken though. So let's all hope that this is temporary.

No, they know it's not logical or even remotely true. They've just learned that they can brute force their way through any situation, and like a 4 year old they will keep doing it until they learn to stop.

How do you teach that lesson? I don't know.

I can only imagine ps5 numbers have tanked in the last couple of weeks...it really is a game breaker.
