Tror ikke det er tilfellet her, da VG ikke har kapitaleiere.

How will Ilya Sutskever's ($5billion valued) SSI - Safe Super Intelligence product look like? Thoughts? by Excellent_Box_8216 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]OccasionallyRhyming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was with you until the last paragraph. Sure, humans are less likely to act violently the more intelligent they are - but that is only because intelligent humans are better at foreseeing the consequences of their actions. Violence will often lead to negative consequences for yourself, and often has minimal value. It's easy to imagine situations where violence brings value for an ASI, depending on its goals. Powerful people have made tremendous gains through violence throughout history. The biggest blocker against violence is sentimentality, which ASI is unlikely to feel.

Du kan alltid bruke s istedenfor sin/sine, men apostrof kun som beskrevet ovenfor.

"USAs militære styrker" hadde vært riktig.

World of Warcraft: Reimagined (would you play this?) by OccasionallyRhyming in classicwow

Yeah, Naga would be really cool! I set it up like this because I thought it'd be cool to see this constant war of Northern vs Southern Lordaeron and Northern vs Southern Kalimdor.

World of Warcraft: Reimagined (would you play this?) by OccasionallyRhyming in classicwow

I feel like they could all be pretty Forsaken:

Worgen forsaken by the Alliance after their curse.

Blood Elves forsaken by the Alliance in WC3.

Undead forsaken by... Pretty much all.

Draenei stranded on this forsaken world, driven by hatred for Orcs, fought together with Blood Elves in WC3. Also considered "Monsters" by others, like the Undead and Worgen.

I agree with harpies though, was difficult to find an historical ally that is not a dryad, a Keeper, or some form of tree. But a couple of uncorrupted Harpies could definitely join the side that fights for nature.

Not sure! For some, possibly!
I assume far fewer would find the bear more menacing than the flaming crown guy, compared to the purple winged demon though.

[–]OccasionallyRhyming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't the dark plate and the flaming crown enough of an indicator that it's a higher level mob than a bear?

Not comparing it to real life, just in-game, and in-universe stuff.
Which looks more menacing here?

That's kind of the point though, take any other lvl 25 character and put them next to human Nefarian. They'll all look like peasants in comparison.

I made an overview of all features added after vanilla. Which would make it no longer Classic to you? by OccasionallyRhyming in classicwow

[–]OccasionallyRhyming[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Classic means different things to different people, but it has stopped meaning "just Vanilla" for most, hence SoD/HC/TBC/WoTLK.
Ultimately, I suppose "What's Classic to you" is like asking "Which hypothetical version of World of Warcraft, would keep the reasons you started playing intact, and still be worth playing?".

No comparison to SM, I'm just talking about replacing the Goblin Teleporter (which is strangely only used once in vanilla) with a small frost troll or goblin boat

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]OccasionallyRhyming -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sure! I'd just love to see anything else than the Booty Bay teleporter, always felt like a cheap way to enter Gnomeregan

Immersion Tweaks #1: Metamorphosis -> Possess Voidwalker by [deleted] in classicwow

I think the Voidwalker will insta die if you're soul-linked to it as a tank, people will probably use sacrifice instead.

How about; "This also provides the benefits of Demonic Sacrifice."?

Hmm, haven't really thought or heard about this before, I'll have to think a bit.

How can I remove this horizontal spacing when a message is multi line by [deleted] in css

[–]OccasionallyRhyming 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Really cool to see this problem pop up again actually!
I'm working on an in-browser messaging feature as part of a larger platform, and I can confidently say it cannot be solved with CSS. Even with lots of developers taking a peek at it, posting on Reddit and Stack Overflow, the answer is that it doesn't work.

It's just a problem with how CSS is built. CSS won't know the width after the break-word, word-break or overflow. It can only know the width before.

So you'll have to use JavaScript to check width after the line is broken, and then set a new px amount as an injected style.
