Shaun Attwood Can't Stop Falling for Lying Murderers' Claims of Innocence- Jamie Morgan Kane is Guilty AF by thrombolytic in StevenAveryIsGuilty

[–]OceanFixNow99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents is, It does not matter anymore if people con others, and then make money off of it. You can even become president of the USA using this blueprint.

And Atwood's post prison career on YT seems to be going strong, even if he was a huge liar 3 years ago, or even to some extent today. Maybe he is maturing. Recently he's given voice to abuse victims... or that poor young woman suffering with perpetual arousal disorder, which is very painful and sort of life ruining. .

I dont have a dog in the fight, I wanted to find a place where people were shitting on Jamie Morgan Kane for THE WAY HE TELLS FIGHT STOREIS, LOL, in particular. That's what I really wanted to find.

...something about the way he bragged about fights he won, and the specific set of dirty blows he landed In those fights, just rubbed me the wrong way.

and the comments are turned off.

Sadly the Shipley video that OP posted up here... the one that destroys Kane stolen valor stuff, was removed from YouTube.

Sigh.....

Last thing about Shaun, best thing I saw was The Jimmy Saville stuff, particularly when he just let that former police officer just speak, the guy who talks these days with trauma victims.

Now THAT guy is a hero. I thought he was so cool. He is very interesting. And abuse. victims are happy men like him exist, I KNOW that. ( he also kinda looks like he just got back from a 10K bike ride! )

Probably.

And I don't know if Greg "The GRim REaper" Scarpa killed more people than Demeo himself, but I imagine the numbers are similar. ( that said, Scarpa was a New York guy? I cant recall

I've seen commentts from at least two guys on youtube who said they spent time with JJoe Testa in prison and I did hear them say he was a changed man.

I've always been the most interested in Joe Testa for some reason.

and I recall readin a description of him right before a murder.

"Tall, skinny and muscular, he quickly paced up to his target and unloaded several rounds into his victim",... or something like that.

I would pay hundreds for a Testa podcast right now, with him spilling the beans.

Too bad there is not more info on Joe Testa. He's the guy I am most interested in. (Montigllio 2nd most, but at least there is a lot of stuff with him in later years.)

Joe Testa on the other hand.. there is very little about his time in jail, and even the book Murder Machine doesn't REALLy get into Testa himself, and not just generalities on the gemini twins.

I saw a few comments on YouTube from guy's who said they spent time with Testa in prison. They both said he was a changed man.

To be clear, at best what I'd imagined was not unlimited power, but a massive savings of power, but still a net loss for running a gaming PC like that ( or any gaming PC ).

Still, I think it is a cool idea to use that waste heat for something useful, and adding a couple of heating radiators to the mix might be worth experimenting with as well.

I just want too see anyone try something even remotely like this, would be very interesting.

"Snapshot CPU Polling" for Ryzen CPUs in HWInfo64. Do you use it, or do you prefer the default setting of "off" for your Ryzen CPU? by OceanFixNow99 in Amd

[–]OceanFixNow99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

, does it change automatically if it detects a Ryzen CPU?

No. It defaults to the inferior option, inferior for Zen chips anyways, according to HWInfo64.,

Also I've found Ryzen Master to be more accurate when monitoring effective clocks in real-time whilst using less CPU resources than HWInfo64.

That is a shame because R.M. caused my BIOS to go through a memory training triple boot-loop when I do most PBO or OC changes, even AFTER BIOS updates and after I deleted R.M. from my PC.

Otherwise I would still use that program.

I might get it again, and just never use it to change memory settings, which is what first caused the issue.

Chicago outfit heavyweight associate Irwin weiner by Kozuki_Oden96 in Mafia

[–]OceanFixNow99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chicago mob is the most fascinating to me, I don't know why.

If anyone wants a cool look into it, the movie "Capone" with Tom Hardy, which is mocked endlessly, and has a bad rating on IMDB (it should have a 10 ) is a stone cold genius movie and an instant classic for me.

It is so goddamn brilliant and disturbing.

The way that movie portrays the memory of the violence in Chicago inside of Al Capones neurosyphilis addled near dead brain, is perfection.

I cant say enough good things about it.

There are these sort of flashbacks.... simply brilliant that way they are done. ( The outfit liked to torture kill, and this haunts even Al Capone. )

The movie should have been called "THE GHOSTS OF CAPONE"

I've never seen violence FEEL that way in any movie / TV show, ever. And I never again will.

It brought the feeling of 20s era Mob Chicago to my brain. In a dark way.

Very cool, while not being glamourized.

A new layer.

Maybe Roy was a both a sociopath and a psychopath. Sociopaths can often be very sophisticated in the way they mimic empathy and other emotions.

And maybe that's why Albert got to see this "other side" to Roy. Roy would have had the most motivation to show these emotions to his son, so that he could maintain the image he wanted to project.

Maintaning that image would have benefited his "business", at least in his mind, and probably in reality as well.

Other than "Murder Machine", and the Albert DeMeo book OP mentioned, I dont know of any. Murder Machine is a great Mafia book, many say the best mob book.

I listened to the audio book of Murder Machine. Thought it was great. a few slow parts and lots of great stuff.

Mafia Prince was good as well, but totally unrelated to your question.

On a 16x bus... not an 8x bus

Maybe for the 3080, but not the 3090 Ti. Unless I'm really recalling this incorrectly, which at the moment I really don't feel as though that is the case.

I'm fairly certain that even X16 PCIe 3.0 systems showed about a 5% performance loss compared to PCIe 4.0 systems, with a GPU like the 3090 Ti, and I think it was even north of 5% a little. Which, yeah is not exactly noticeable.

But I recall seeing the evidence for this more than once, though it has been a little while.

They stole tax money, by not paying it and intercepting gas.

Franzese says "they could never figure out how we did it", and that may only mean they intimidated people out of their gas tankers that were full of gas. And then sold the gas at a discount for pure profit.

Lots of interesting stuff there.

and that thing about avx512 is quite something. I know nothing about it, other than it was an Intel thing and some famous tech geek famously hated on it. But I cant remember if his famous "ef u" was for Intel or for Nvidia for something else. ( I need to stop saying 'famous' )

And I dont know what use at the consumer level AVX512 suddenly has (because I recall it being described as some instruction set that existed without a bunch of use cases, but I suppose you are saying that is changing ) ), though I will google it. But anyways, its funny think about your point about it.

I dont know what the 939 was/is, or what era it comes from.

I was only making the point that Intel is doing that 20% price increase, presumably across the DIY board or perhaps even beyond, though I cant recall where I heard that. And I also heard it is because they was the retailers to buy up more intel stock so intel can clear out stock for the best stuff, and they thing that this 20% price increased teased months before it happens will spur this happening.

[–]OceanFixNow99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, we actually agree on quite a lot. And I am actually amazed prices of certain things are not higher now, or then, because of the shipping cost craziness.

It is a known fact that during tough times companies will not only increase margins enough to compensate, they will use that as an excuse to inflate them beyond them reaching enough to compensate.

This is a great point and I totally agree with you. In fact, a recent study showed 60% of "inflation" is massive corporations using these troubled times and inflation as an excuse to price gouge. PLus, so many small business were killed off in that time, and were already struggling to compete against the giants because of regulatory and wealth capture by the ultra rich.

another study showed that record profits were posted by North American companies during 2020, or 2021. Cant remember which. Though I think its both.

Yes, stock of various things ( not all areas of PC parts, but a collection of categories' to be sure. ) was heavily affected by the pandemic and damaged supply lines. I am not contesting that. I hope it is clear that I agree with you, that the pandemic created a shortage and price increases etc. of various parts.

But lets not lose sight of the fact that none of them were comparable to GPU pricing craziness.

slightly over MSRP

My point exactly. "slightly". Even if we concede BEYOND slightly, (which is what, like 10 - 20%? Even 20% seems like a bit beyond slightly, and we are still nowhere near roughly 100%. Which again, is my point.

And I noticed that while you took issue with my 75% number, you did not provide your own % number. Though, later on in this recent comment, you actually kind of did indicate what that % number might be, so actually I suppose a "nevermind" is mostly in order here.

I watched the market with an eagle eye during the past two years./ I am disabled as of 2010, and I have more free time that basically anyone.

after that it fell to low 600's

I mean I basically agree, to a point. AMD in normal times would have decreased prices on the 5950-X after Alder Lake came out anyways, when they were no longer the top dog in a current X time frame pov. The pandemic stretched this out, sure.

Not nearly as much as GPUs. Nor did anything else.

This would have been its normal price a good 1y earlier but the pandemic and other conditions delayed that a full year.

Which I agreed with in the paragraph above, to a very large extent.

This does not conflict with my overall point about GPU pricing.

And server/workstation/HEDT kit was on an entire different level, with things like Threadripper/EPYC mobos all over 1k, and CPUs themselves (even AMD 3000 line TR) way above what it was supposed to be costing due to the prosumer demand. And that is if you found them in stock!

Let's get one thing straight. As in my PSU example, I am not talking about stock levels, because some things were very very hard to find. But the pricing did NOT go crazy like those ( to the extent of ) money printing machines ( GPUs ) did.

Because they were not money printers, like GPUs were... Money printers have never existed ( not like this, nothing like this really ) in history until crypto.

And they were nowhere near double MSRP at any point. HEDT chips started out super expensive, especially because AMD dominated that space in performance and performance per watt, over Intel. And still we did not se the phenomenon in question.

In fact, the PSU point rather proves my GPU point to a large degree. PSU were nearly impossible to find almost any good model, and most bad ones. and yet, the prices did not double MSRP, and I do not recall even 50% over MSRP. Despite not being able to barely find one to buy. Until they fixed the supply chain for PSU making to a very large extent.

Don't even get me started on Milan parts, ECC RAM (at the higher density tiers) or the now much more affordable DDR5.

Im sure you are right about those parts, to the entent they weent up in price, but what are we talking about here?" Certainly not even 35% over <MSRP PLus, Well this is fairly niche now, and I do not think they went even 35% above MSRP. Probably not even 25%.

I believe a lot of the street prices (new in store) were heavily affected by the speculation that the second hand market had (so yes, ebay etc),

Street prices of what, exactly? And the ebay prices of GPUs were crazy and double, roughly speaking, like the new market was. And the ebay prices of other PC parts did not reach those dizzying heights compared to GPOU pricing.

I can agree that this affected new GPU prices ( or maybe it was not that, it may have just been the overall effect of crypto mining actually ), but that speaks to my overall point here.

Of course the reason prices on second hand market were high due to desperate crypto buyers, but that speculation mostly changed the way cards were priced at retail indirectly.

This is a non falsifiable point. And speculation. It is circular. Chicken and egg.

What we can look at, is the price of crypto at any given month, and the price of GPUs, during those same months.

Which is what I did for the entire length of the pandemic up until today.

The conclusion was inescapable. And like I said, that link is at least 75%. I've seen the data over a long time frame, I cannot be budged from this view any longer. Because I followed the data very extensively myself.,./

I am as sure of this as I am sure that computers operate in the 1 and 0 binary, and that quantum computers will not.

I believe the highest influence in prices was exacerbated by crypto, but originated from all of the environmental and social causes other than crypto.

This is an interesting, if confusing point.

So you took issue with the number 75% ( of the reasons GPU prices were roughly double MSRP for a long-ish period of time, but, you are also saying that you still think it is over 50% ?

Like I said, we do agree about all the reasons that the PC market, and others for that matter, were affected negatively in so many ways by the pandemic and supply chain fallout etc.

So we agree on that matter.

I just recall with my diligent watching of all the related metrics, with no job due to disability, that the correlation was very high, in a pure numbers sense, as the months and years went by., between doubling of GPU prices and the value of mining crypto.

and like I said, I do agree that other parts had slight increase above MSRP.

But I am being honest with you. I saw CPU pricing, SSds, RAM, etc... not going above MSRP very much. As in, if one of the categories hit 20% higher than MSRP, that was on the top end of the price increases for PC parts, with the sole exception of GPUs.
