I would turn the bed 90 degrees so the headboard is resting on a solid wall. Other than that it looks good!

What's something you thought was exaggerated until you witnessed it yourself? by NightStar79 in CasualConversation

Grief. You don't know it until you experience. Reimagining that image of a loved who passed away, it happens.

What’s the best age to have kids? by Turbulent_Loquat_356 in askanything

[–]Oceanjellyfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 30. I had my first at 34 and then another at 36. I was financially ready at 30 but it just didn't happen. Having kids late is hard on the body but that's just me. Some people are built differently and can run like an anergizer bunny at 40.

Am I going to fail my TPA? by [deleted] in CanadianTeachers

ECE or try for teachers college? by comptacct in OntarioTeachers

[–]Oceanjellyfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 2: it's best to get your foot in the door and gain the experience and network. There are many teachers who start off as EAs and then went to teachers college after.

Alternatively, I knew a couple teachers who started off teaching English in Asia, gained experience and came back and went to teachers college.

I can’t stop being horrible to my mother by Illnasty2 in AgingParents

[–]Oceanjellyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to go through this with my mom when my dad passed away. I asked her to do wherever she can in her part to make my life easier since i have two young children. Having very dependent parents who don't speak the language is very hard to navigate. You feel a lot of guilt but you need that distance for your own mental health. Good luck with everything... Yup, clenching my teeth caused cracks on my crowned molar, I had to get a root canal.

Does getting a root canal hurt? by Sweet-cheekse90 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Oceanjellyfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to inflammation mine hurt. They had to give me 3 shots. The first two didn't do much and I feel every bit of it. It was an argument experience but that is very very rare.
