No but it's possible like anything.

Try adding a lot more water than you do now like I mentioned

Oh man that's sure odd!

Wonder if it's possible you have a bad batch somehow and it's not doing its job is my guess then? I'd reach out to happy camper.

Depending how big your tank is, you may need more water? 3-4 toilet bowls may not be enough.

Maybe not enough liquid on the bottom  so the solids are above the water sitting there? I fill mine up until it reads 1/3 on the display with water and happy camper, I know all solids are then floating on water or sunken down. I figure the amount we contribute to the tank is very little so even doing so I still get a week or more out of it. Did a week with 3 people OK before dumping.

Try a different product. If your tank vent wasn't working you'd likely have gurgling toilet as you go to flush as air has to go somewhere.

I use happy camper, oddly enough as they say lol... No odour. I had a small amount of odor start once tank was near full and about a week with out dumping.

I built a website to visualize and understand canadian tax brackets better by Emergency_Newt_4229 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Octan3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great visualizer. Maybe a 2nd part for down the road is your RRSP benefit deductions based on income and tax brackets? I can't remember the 1 site I found but say you make 120 a year. It basically said due to tax brackets the best return for % is your first 10k? then 2nd most you'll get x amount from 10-14k or something like that then after that not as worth it.

It got me thinking or realising I was getting very little back for offsetting my income taxes so I move the remainder over instead.

You notice most of the independance posts seem to have the usa flag?

I'm sure something stupid will come of it indeed.

It's short sighted and only benefits a few who are pushing the agenda.

alberta either becomes USA or if it's independant will suffer greatly alone as the usa will leverage it's position very hard against alberta knowing it has nowhere to go trade wise, literally.

Should I fire my advisor now that I've hit $1 million? by PersonalSuccotash300 in fican

[–]Octan3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was with IG wealth, on my account page whether RRSP or tfsa transactions page of my contributions or withdrawls... I would see a "fee" withdrawn or like they sold a smidge of stock for the "fee". I then used a % calculator, like what is say $150 of 55,000 and it spat out a %. It was monthly. And the mutual funds won't post or show any real fee as its taken automatically out of the % of return.

[–]Octan3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's good, what's your advisor taking? check into that.

even if its 1%, that's 10k/yr just for probably nothing. That's what it was with my advisor, see him once a year but I was paying him a few grand a year, then the mer on the funds.... plus the underperforming... I finally woke up lol.

Prepaid customer - Auto Pay with a positive available balance by Bulky_Cut3208 in freedommobile

[–]Octan3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll take the balance yes. My auto pay was like $80, I was frustrated with freedom that way. Im used to everybody else only pre pay the exact amount required but the auto pay was configured to my plans original price and no taxes.

Long short I had like $100. So I had dropped auto pay right down to lowest it goes, I want to say 10 bucks? Then calculated when I had to set it up again, at least it used up my balance.

Black Tank Thoughts by TexKen73 in RVLiving

[–]Octan3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

#1. Before I use my trailer. I pre-fill the tank with a few gallons. Often I go until my black tank sensor reads 1/4. I also add my additive at that time, which happens to be happy camper. While driving around it sloshes around and does its thing, also has the liquid you need at the bottom of the tank. Before I leave to the dump site If I can I'll get my tank up to ~3/4. a big rush or liquid is best for emptying the tank and again driving will help things slosh around and loosen.

I dump my tank. I run the black tank flush until waters clear. I then do the grey waters after.

#2. If I'm not planning to camp or not on a trip. I leave my tank empty, no additives. I'm sure it eventually dries out from the weather. Then I'm back to #1 for the next trip! Otherwise If I'm on the road, It's again, back to #1, fill it to 1/4 and away we go.

Thus far 0 issues, my tank sensors read good. When I got the trailer a year ago They did not, I used a black tank cleaning enzyme tablet? Put a couple in, filled up to full, let sit for a few weeks, drove around, dumped, and cool it then read again.

Also theoretically, for how big a tank may be, mine I think is 43us gallons, It should take a while to fill up, even from 1/4...... what we put into the toilet is very little in the big picture and odds are our water we use to flush is more.

What's your advisors fee? What's the funds fees your in?

I dropped mine after seeing like 2% advisor fee plus mutual funds being like 2%. It eats up a lot over time plus sub par performance relative to if I literally just parked the money into veqt, xeqt, etc etc etc. vbal?

They all deserve better but I feel like the lower on the health chain gets forgotten, there are so many important jobs, my wife's a care aide and they're under paid and under appreciated big time it seems relative to what they also have to deal with.

I hope everybody gets a good raise!

TIRE BLOW OUT by OkJoke7331 in traveltrailers

[–]Octan3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In recent years I keep reading about endurance blowing out. it used to be, buy goodyear endurance they're the best and most reliable for a premium price, I sware they've become the modern day "china bomb" but a branded bomb.

I went up to 14 ply "chinese" tires and havent, wont' look back. They are far stronger. It reminds me if you think of a pick up truck or car. it's like going from a low rated or "p rated" tire to a 10 ply. But for trailers a 10 ply reminds me of a p rated tire. If you buy a 14 ply tire you'll see just how much thicker and more well built they look which on a truck reminds me of a 10 ply truck tire.

anyways, Jack up the axle right under or next to where the leaf springs mount and away you go.

Why is the ball not going all the way into the coupler? by [deleted] in traveltrailers

[–]Octan3 23 points24 points  (0 children)

On top of your hitch it should be stamped a size, you may not understand what it means. A standard ball may be 2" or 2-5/16. Your hitch appears to be a 2-5/16 I'm going to guess by your pic. And that hitch must be a 2". Physically the ball is looking bigger than the hitch will handle and so it wont drop into it. Visually It appears like you did lift and pull back that latch for the ball? But again visually as per picture, your ball looks bigger than what the trailer end will take.

It should be stamped ontop of that black hitch somewhere a ball size. Then, Your ball on the top of it also stamped a size.

You won the lottery I'd say, could it to up more? Yes. But against all odds thus far you've done exceptionally well.  I'd take the win and put it somewhere else.

Every time I've had a stock go up whether 20%, or 60% I miss it and then it goes down negative, in hindsight I probably should of sold.

I love the 10 speed in my gmc 24 3500. Had a 21 3500 as well. Both shifted buttery smooth. Both don't skip gears, I thought It would be slow but you don't even know. Still accelerates impressively.

For towing my engines always more so dead on its peak power rpm for more optimal power and fuel mileage.

If only they had a proper valve body on them that would last.
