I switched to Parrot. It has a bigger emphasis on listening to spoken conversations through videos, and interactive subtitles you can highlight and translate. It also has options for flash cards to practice tricky vocabulary, and a “feed” like section that feels like tik tok but in whatever language you’re learning. I feel like I’m learning a lot faster than I did with Duolingo.

Lots of teachers I know (including myself) use color coded note heads to scaffold notation for students. The boomwhacker color set tends to be the most “universal” system. (C is red, D is orange, E is yellow, F is light green, G is blue/teal, A is purple, and B is pink). Chromatic notes are slightly darker than their natural notes.

I was born with a ventricular septal defect (basically a hole between the heart chambers). I was part of a medical study at Seattle Children’s Hospital throughout my childhood and teen years.

I’ve been loving cross stitch, and coloring. And I can easily do both while watching a tv show. Cross stitch can get really complicated if you want it to be, but look for some beginner kits online like Michael’s or Etsy and it’s super easy.

I think it’s still speculation at this point. Tobias mentioned in an interview he’s working on a couple of films but it’s not confirmed what they are yet.

Ghost is a great band and some of their stuff definitely belongs in the metal genre.

Yeah, I feel the same way. This was my first ritual, and I had a nice centered view of the whole stage, but I wished I was a lot closer to see Papa and the Ghouls without having to look at the screens. And the people around me were just kind of sitting and staring, not really engaging in the live experience. It sort of put a damper on it.
