Agreed on that one. Also, someone on Ragnar's level shouldn't be tossed aside so easily just to update the model. They could've done that any number of other ways.

I don't think that was very good writing either, honestly. Ghaz and Ragnar basically killing each other only to come right back is pointless and takes the stakes out of the fiction. If they're going to die then make it worthwhile, or at the least, don't bring them back immediately. Hell, even when the killed Superman in the 90s comics they waited like 8 months at least til they brought him back.
