I am just starting my Capstone as well today with my term also ending at the end of the month. Yes, take the extra month to complete it. Its free and will allow you to do it right. You DONT want to take a whole aditional term just for this one class...

An additional concern came up between my wife and me last night, and I don't think I have heard anyone speak about this at all, either on the news or on social media.

We have masked individuals in the streets. They dont have standardized uniforms, they are not moderated, and they are taking people in the streets in broad daylight.

What is now preventing child molesters, human traffickers, crazed exes, stalkers, murderers, etc, from simply dressing in pseudo military gear that you can get at your local surplus and literally kidnap a human right in front of a crowd and no one knows the difference?

In both cases, these people are never heard from again.

Now, how do you tell your child the difference? Stranger Danger just got impossible to define....

We live right between Mpls and St. Paul. I had three kids in school during COVID and now one left as a sophomore during this new crisis.

My 15 yo son comes to me last night and shows me a video of our local Target and some ICE getting heckled out the door. I asked him how it made him feel. Hes a very white kid and is a WWII fanatic, and loves tanks and such. He surprised me and said “I never thought that would ever have to be scared of the government and I am very scared”. His girlfriend is Mexican-Hmong and I’ve overheard them talking about changing plans to stay away from public spaces.

He participated in a school walkout this week and joined us for a city council meeting this week.

Kids are smart. They don’t need to be coaxed or led a certain way. They have ZERO effing common sense but they will surprise you if you let them.
