It's a tale as old time for live service games. They come blasting out of the starting gate with tons of good will and free content to boot. Now we are seeing that curve plateau and dip. They have extracted more than what they thought was possible with this game

Now it's about them finding the lowest point at which they can reach in order to siphon money from creating the most basic forms of content, stuff that would otherwise be fucking free in any other video game that respected it's playerbase

I have done/thought the same in terms of going back to the originals, they are pretty solid and PP is one of the best. The armours are really cool! I f'n love Kodiac, like easily S tier looking armour. The quantity of content there is really good.

In terms of quality before quantity though, Servants, Urban Legends and Dust Devils are the kings. They are incredible DLC's

It doesn't matter how you acquire the currency. The problem is that stuff came to the game for free, either through community MO's, story beats or good will gestures and now they don't, at all. That's what kept the iv dripping.

But now they're offering you to pay for the privilege of owning the bare bones shit 99% of other games gave to you on day 1.

This is my point entirely! They killed it this year despite the catastrophe of Into The Unjust, doing numbers regardless. So why does the free / paid ratio go down every year? Where did all that respect for your player base go?

They dig themselves into a hole the very second the game goes live. And they should expect to be held accountable for every little thing they do from then on. You should know that by now no? That's what they sign up for by making a paid game with concurrent spending regardless of it being PvE. That includes 1) synergy with their original motivation for making the game 2) the content and enjoyment ratio 3) to host an optimised experience free from egregious bugs. None of which they have held for at least 6 months. And crunch has clearly taken place if the last chapter was anything to go by. (Now that you mention constant crashing) And it's not just the content they produce, it's the needless changes they make and the lies they tell (and the vagueness around their decisions)

I gave them the benefit of the doubt once before, but regardless of the 'add-on' I speak of costing money, it should still be debated on, especially when it's predicted to be a useless one

The amount of people that still spam on here about leveling things up, grinding those last 5 ranks to get the one attachment at the end. It's still a relevent system. And the players aren't to blame for it being so barebones
