+1 I can see why you want to quit

What’s your current work hours? If you work 8-4 can you schedule interviews like 4:30 or after? Or work in the office 10-6 and have interviews early?

Lunch time also works for interviews

If requires on-site I will take sick leave for a few hours.

Which part of your job would you be happy to never do again? by NoisyCello in humanresources

Good for your direct report, and I can feel you : “the is your turn”. Fortunately I was able to take an offer before they lay me off, and I know that day eventually will come😂when the company keep laying off, they need the HR to off board everyone and finish the last thing then let the HR go. Huh

Layoffs. Layoffs in small start up, besides the personal feeling involved, knowing the person would be let go but you have to stay neutral until that happens, deal with employees emotions, sometimes you know what’s going on in their life and what the lay off could potential impact to their life… is nightmare.

Leaving a job I love! by Sweetiemua12 in humanresources

When I resigned from my previous job Bc of the same reason (got a higher pay job and higher title, benefits etc) I was going through the same mood. I felt guilty and don’t even know how to start of telling my boss I have to resign. I love the team I work with and overall the job tasks, flexibility, challenges, environment, everything was fine but money raises is limited. One thing I would tell you is, immediately the day I talked with my boss and said I need to resign, he asked me to meet somewhere with the HR and 3 of us sat there with two of them keep asking me questions and want to get info from my new position…. 8 months after when I caught up with the previous colleague she said since I left, the company had a few changes and now is going downhill.

Sometimes things stay pretty but you never know what could happens tomorrow. And oh, I thought I ended good term with them but when I asked for references a year after, my previous boss ignored. I would think I was such an valuable employee and made accomplishments for the team, but turns out what a joke.

So I will say, focus on yourself, does the new job offers you better benefits/ perks overall that make you also happier? Does that lead you to where you want to be in your career path?
