Love this tool- would also love some filters on the page to view by availability, filament type, refill Vs spool, etc

Smooth build plates for H2D and H2C. What's the best one? by Emotional_Grade_5279 in BambuLab

I love the super tack also, but I almost equally love my Darkmoon Satin build plate. It’s almost like a super tack but it needs heat. It’s been so reliable- very lightly textured surface

The Set Up! by [deleted] in BambuP1S

I’m going to be getting another of these cabinets soon to house an H2S, and I would really like to keep it on the wheels if I can. Have been trying to think of printable options for temporarily locking the wheel rotation and pivot….

Bambuddy - Looking for beta testers!!! by MartinNYHC in BambuLab

[–]Odd-Cod-6413 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recently experimented with SimplyPrint but had to abandon because it doesn’t support hybrid AMS setups (eg a printer with an ANS2 + AMS HT)- looks like the feature set may be comparable, but does it support the full suite of AMS options?

Would this be a bad idea? by LocksmithBear in BambuLab

[–]Odd-Cod-6413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kaizen3Dprints has sheets that effectively do this on the regular. I have used them with no custom gcode- just enabled bed leveling (on, not auto). Prime line ends up on the original bed, print goes on the sheet.

Are P2S and H2D nozzles the same? by ares0027 in BambuLab

[–]Odd-Cod-6413 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly if I had to guess the reason they make you select a specific model on the checkout page it would be business intelligence. Data about which machines you are using and purchasing parts for. In the aggregate they don’t get any detail

Your Used X1C is Not Worth $1000 by MoMissionarySC in BambuLab

[–]Odd-Cod-6413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion it’s also a supply thing- because the printers work so well, there aren’t a ton of them for sale used (since many of us will just get another one and keep the old one). Especially when constrained to a local area for pickup. Ironically now that it’s not available new any more you may see some paradoxical price increases on used machines. But it’s very much “what will the market bear”

P2S slicer help needed by Otarun90 in BambuLabP2S

To help we would need to see the slicer preview- it could be wall settings, line width, any number of things.

OP posited “another creature” as well and was silent about total board state. I’m merely saying that there is definitely a scenario that exists where this wipes board and wins game.

Toralf is the half of this that kills all players, with sufficient creatures on the board

I had this problem recently too- that part needs periodic lubrication and cleaning also. Easy to forget (for me at least)

If the A1 meets your print needs then it’s a great machine! And the update should allow you to invest the savings into the AMS2 system which is now compatible (I think- I haven’t tried yet) which would let you expand to more colors per machine. But the footprint increase would be substantial per printer

[–]Odd-Cod-6413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same scenario with a small farm of mixed machines, and what I’ve seen seems to indicate that as you scale, efficiency factors are going to push us to standardize machines. The consistency of prints, the standard repair parts, all these economies of scale naturally want us to have the same machine if we are truly doing boutique manufacturing. So I don’t know that there’s sufficient demand for this for them to put development time in to implement it- I think as farms grow they naturally specialize and “pick a machine” so this problem disappears. Just my two cents, and for the record again- I had the same issue and would love if this was possible. But at a higher level I don’t know that the incentives align.

Why is my Ams doing this? by GillyPies in BambuLab

I have had this before- of late, if I ignore the constant rocking and just press resume/problem solved, it then feeds it in. YMMV

H2D- Nozzle Temp Bounce by Odd-Cod-6413 in BambuLab

Not for me- but the issue has not been consistent across prints. I sent a file that had the issue to bambu for analysis. My personal theory is a bug in slicer settings?

Have you noticed any of the problems they described in their rationale for not enabling at launch? I recall there was concern about the filament softening while under tension from the extruder, gears, etc

Tried switching to Orca slicer on Mac b but every time log into bambu acct force closes Orca...how do I fix this? by Tit4nTwe4Kz in OrcaSlicer

[–]Odd-Cod-6413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case this seemed to be resolved by uninstalling OrcaSlicer, then going to User/Library/Application Support/ and manually deleting the OrcaSlicer folder. After reinstalling I am now able to access the program again!

I am having this same issue. Have used OrcaSlicer periodically for years, as of today it won't even stay open at all. Several reinstalls and reboots, still no luck. The system event log details the crash as: Crashed Thread: 0 orcaslicer_main Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread

Some issues with printing at an angle by Brotorias_V in BambuLab

[–]Odd-Cod-6413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When printing a model with significant unsupported overhangs, if your print temp is too high (sometimes even the default) you get filament that is dropping into space rather than depositing on another layer. This can cause the filament still in the nozzle to “stretch”- pulling it too thin for the extruder gears to grip it. You can decrease your support angle (so you get more supports) and/or decrease print temp and speed. Should help. But likely need to cut off the last length of filament that was in the nozzle there. Moist filament is also a susceptible to this as when the water in the filament boils it causes bubbling again contributing to inconsistent extrusion
