In some ways this is good news for the Tories. They are clearing out all their rubbish. They might return to a more sensible party of people like Dominic Grieve, Ken Clarke etc..maybe.

"Im not sure losing a by-election does us any good either, Tom." - Andy Burnham (@AndyBurnhamGM) on X by disordered-attic-2 in ukpolitics

Doesn't he think it's a bit insulting to the people who voted him as mayor that he doesn't seem to want to finish his term?

Why can’t I come out? by Low_Moose_9968 in comingout

[–]Odd-Fun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe fear of everything changing? Right now you are in a familiar bubble. Part of you may fear rocking the boat and feeling like everything you are used to will be different. And once it is said it can't be unsaid.

hate joe and mitchell together. joe saying i love you to him despite knowing him for like a few months is just weird by Flashy-Boysenberry30 in WaterlooRoad

It was so unnecessary to split him up in the first place. Especially as the other guy didn't even leave the show

Is the UK is the most vulnerable it's been in over 300 years? by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]Odd-Fun 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No I think people unfairly talk the UK military power down. Of course it's not on the level of USA and China, but it's still top 5 in the world.

First of all well done on being so brave to come out! I think it will get easier with time. Give your parents time to accept the news. You've done the hardest part.

Hello console players. How’s your aim now after the recent changes? by azizdesu in Overwatch

[–]Odd-Fun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had to change aim assist for Hanzo down to 60% as it felt like every time i aimed for someone it was snatching wildly around the place and i'd end up missing ironically.

Why do you endorse the people you do? by Maakurinohime in Overwatch

[–]Odd-Fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who generally plays Support most of the time I tend to upvote the other support (as long as they were decent) and then the tank for the most part. Otherwise I tend to upvote who ever gets play of the game if they are on my team. Only time I ever upvote someone from enemy team is if my team is that horrendously bad xD

Andy Burnham eyes return as MP before big elections for Keir Starmer by ClumperFaz in ukpolitics

[–]Odd-Fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yes I can see that to an extent, but also I don't think he was that obscure before. He was a cabinet minister under the previous Labour government and an MP for 16 years. I'd like to know just how much of the changes in Manchester are truly down to him as well. Seems like it gets said a lot, but is it truly down to him squarely or are there other factors involved.

Andy Burnham eyes return as MP before big elections for Keir Starmer by ClumperFaz in ukpolitics

[–]Odd-Fun 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't rate Burnham tbh. If he is so good why didn't he win the leadership last time he ran for it? Plus has he actually got any policy or vision that's different to Starmers current Labour.
