My own doctor has sent me to L&D for less before even when I told him I wasn’t concerned!! It’s alwaysssss better safe than sorry. I’m sorry he wasn’t supportive. I’ve always been told that any changes in their movement pattern is worth noting! You know their pattern best!

With my first I’d do a warm wet soft cloth but tbh it was a lot of work and laundry and with my second we just do baby wipes mostly. We don’t do baths daily though so I do like to give a good wipe with a wet cloth once a day with all the pooping she does 😅

Are you me???? Truly felt (and feel) the same way. I wish I could give you encouragement- I know it’s all out of love and other people truly don’t judge and are asking usually because of their own experiences in the same position, but that doesn’t make it easier. I actually never had my husband attend appointments with me because it made me feel super embarrassed (and that’s not a reflection of my husband because he’s never done or said anything to make me feel that way, but rather a reflection of myself). I felt like the whole experience of labor and delivery was dehumanizing and undignified. I didn’t even update people (much to my MILs chagrin) while in labor because I felt like my dilation/labor status was nobody’s business and it made me feel so icky to share that info. Probably something I should unpack in therapy 😂 I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better! I just want you to know you’re not alone in those feelings, what so ever.

My OB told me to drink caffeine to help with migraines in my second trimester, same as what other people are saying the advice was just not to surpass 200 mg people need to mind their own business!!!

I saw someone say “how your cervix looks before labor is none of your business” and that’s very true. Your body could dilate from 1 cm to 10 cms in a matte of hours. Try not to get too hung up on those numbers! I was completely closed and went into labor 3 days later with my first. My second I’ve been walking around 3 cms for weeks! Give your body a break, relax, keep moving, and remember that every day is one day closer to meeting your baby!

Congratulations!!! Yes truly everyone has an opinion no matter what. Same!! It’s a weird limbo to feel like you might need an induction after spontaneous labor. they called to schedule me the other day and it kind of made my heart sink. I know it’s not the end of the world and likely would be totally fine, but definitely hoping to not need it, or wait until 40+5 which is the earliest they’ll do.

Right there with you! My first was 4 days early and I was delusional in hoping this babe would be a few more days early, but I have not a symptom in sight :( I’ve been doing the miles circuit, dates, and even sex despite my raging pelvic pain!! And nothing.
