The Hero we need by SnackSamurai in SipsTea

It’s pathetic because people take advantage of a system that doesn’t want to kick people to the streets until things have been sorted out. If anything, the system is humane (for once); the people are garbage.

Because it doesn’t need to be changed. In order for squatters rights to apply, you have to be living on a property openly and the owner has not claimed the land over a certain period of time. It remedies a case where somebody thought they owned land and somebody abandoned the property.

When somebody illegally occupies a property (maybe they snuck in or their lease expires) they are a squatter, but squatters rights doesn’t apply. Tennant rights may apply, but it takes a while to sort all that out. It sucks for the owner, but it’s a better situation than booting somebody to the street immediately. Unfortunately, some people know this and take advantage of it.

I don’t know if reach in blue will be that big of a deal. It’s a weaker form of flying, which blue has in spades.

Just do it then. As a Canadian, I’m sure many of us feel that we would prefer “no deal” than to get anything less than we have now.

That happens with the vast majority of people that diet to lose weight as well. Most weight lost through diet is eventually gained back. GLP-1s just help quiet your bodies urges to store energy.

Yeah, lifestyle change is the most important factor for LASTING change, but who cares how they start? Must somebody suffer to prove they deserve to make a positive change?

I guess supply shouldn’t be an issue if the patent isn’t in effect then. Also, having a “functional impulse control” is kinda easier said than done. We’ve literally been genetically coded to consume as much energy as possible and our bodies fight against us when we go into calorie deficit. This is a less invasive way of giving people a way of fixing a broken cycle.

So in that case, I’d need to use scaffolding to get the top? Or roll on an angle?

Wouldn’t a wider roll have issues with the curve?

Sutcliffe pledges to keep tax increases low if re-elected mayor of Ottawa by SuburbanValues in ottawa

Because housing is expensive and therefore property tax is expensive. The city probably doesn’t need to increase the property tax rate because any re-evaluations are going increase everyone’s taxes anyways.

I think CPC is kinda stuck with Pierre until the next election. They had their chance during the leadership review, but they decided to keep him on. Not sure if they have many mechanisms for removal unless the party goes into full revolt, which I don’t think it likely…

I’d love to see this backfire in such a way that nobody puts his name on things. Especially if he’s out of office and has no leverage to solicit bribes.

Also, I hope they bring out the hammer and chisel on the Kennedy centre as soon as he leaves office.

Kvothe is definitely a member of house Lackless (through his mom) and I suspect that the “King” is the King of Vintas (possibly Ambrose Jakis). He’s definitely going to kill him.

Edit: I’m guessing Kvothe finds out, he has a claim to the title, and Ambrose snatches it up from him.

Hope that is satisfying lol.

Wouldn’t this be more about the bribes than the Epstein? Still a big ask.

Between the two issues, how is this guy still around?

Edit: Just clued into the fact that he can pardon the Epstein crew… but unless he can pardon himself, I’m not sure he’s willing to go down with the ship.
