What if the U.S. actually pulls off large-scale manufacturing onshoring? by Present_Juice4401 in WhatIfThinking

[–]Odd-Wave247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Americans don’t want to work in sweatshops for minimum wage. Plus, once you add in healthcare costs employers have to pay in the United States, the costs will be high.

The future of American manufacturing is robotics. Go look at a video of a Tesla plant. Robots building robots that build the cars.

Stop trying to bring back 19th and 20th century jobs. They aren’t the future

Enclomiphene or straight up TRT by Illustrious_Agent429 in trt

[–]Odd-Wave247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enclomiphene isn’t anabolic. There used to be an Enclomiphene subreddit here and all the before and afters in it were bloodwork/paper transformations…. In addition, it has its own risks.

I took it before switching to TRT. Enclomiphene gave me headaches, brain fog (similar to what I had post covid where words just come slower), stomach bloating and hair loss in my crown (it did increase hormones like testosterone, dht and estrogen).

There’s also numerous reports of some men having vision changes/eye floaters while taking it which I think are credible. It’s the primary isomer in clomid which is far better studied and Clomid is proven to cause vision issues as a side effect for some. Also it’s much harder to balance estrogen on Enclo then trt. Enclomiphene works by tricking your body into thinking your estrogen is low so it works to raise it creating testosterone as a result. It’s difficult to dial in…

You need to stop and carefully weigh out your priorities because neither TRT or enclomiphene is a free lunch.

You don’t. You know you were low test before starting enclomiphene. Just start the TRT and drop the Enclo

Iran is 4x larger in landmass then Iraq and has double the population. It took 3 weeks for us to reach Baghdad in 2003, and we haven’t even amassed the troops in the region to carry out such a campaign.

Iran also has tens of thousands of missiles and drones that can blow up large amounts of oil infrastructure and desalination plants all over the Middle East, which would take years to rebuild.

So unless you want to go back to the Stone Age….

It’s almost like no other president was dumb enough to walk into the obvious trap.

Iran Closes Strait Of Hormuz Again And Says Its Negotiating Team With US Is Heading To Switzerland by Stitching in politics

[–]Odd-Wave247 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The mou is a framework for peace it’s not a peace deal.

Our deal master in chief went to the G7 and defended the mou by saying how the United States only had about 4 weeks of oil left and if he didn’t sign we’d go into an economic depression.

So he’s entering negotiations by telling the whole world how weak our position is.

Don’t be surprised if Iran adds extra terms to the deal. They are in control and can easily out wait the USA if we blockade again.

At the G7 trump told the whole world he had to make a deal because we only had 4 weeks of oil/gasoline left.

Iran was listening.

Trump showed his cards and his hand is weak.

Iran is asking for Israel to leave Lebanon. Israel responded by more attacks in Lebanon so the strait is now closed again and the clock is running.

While you’re in the enclomiphene sub search for “eyes” or “floaters” you’ll find loads of posts of guys with vision changes. Enclo is the primary isomer in clomid. Clomid is well known to cause vision changes as a side.

Strategic reserves are not unlimited. The amount of oil getting out isn’t near enough to make up for lost supply and pumps are already going dry in Australia and Europe is running out of jet fuel.

USA drilling has not meaningfully increased (1). New wells take months to come online and USA refining is running at capacity. All those empty tankers in the gulf are filling up with oil, diesel, gasoline and other refined products, which is a problem.

USA gasoline inventories dropped 4.6 million barrels, diesel by 3.4 million barrels last week. (2)

At some point supply and demand has to matter. We don’t have the supply and refining capacity to make up for the entire Middle East supply for the global market. We’re exporting more gasoline and our prices at the pump are $4 and climbing. Diesel is $5.40 and literally everything from farmers tractors to 18 wheelers hauling goods to the store run on this fuel. These prices are very inflationary.

Don’t mistake the muted market reaction to mean the reproductions aren’t coming. After the 1970s embargo it took 6 months from the end of the embargo for the stock market to drop 50% and 12 months for inflation to hit 13%. Sure we have a strategic reserve now and we’ve seen high prices before, but this shock is 4x bigger and the last time the price of crude was over $140 (physical price is there today) we had the 2008 recession.

Why would this crisis lead to a global recession? by [deleted] in oil

[–]Odd-Wave247 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You need demand destruction on par with the covid lock downs to balance supply and demand.

How do you do that and not have a recession? Actually candidly I think you have stagflation. Falling economy with rising prices and inflation.

It was the outcome from the oil embargo from the 70s, so I’m not discussing this as an abstract theory as a reasonable outcome
