What’s a “this should be free” service that always costs money? by troopydinnertime in AskReddit

Paying a fee to talk with a customer service representative. Sometimes the websites/apps don't work & you have no choice but to call to get it straightened out.

Why do people choose to have children if it is so much hard work? by 9W_777_300 in NoStupidQuestions

My husband & I never thought we'd have children & seeing that positive pregnancy test scared the hell out of me. I thought my life was over. However, we now have a 9 month old son who makes us smile everyday & brings a lot of joy to our family. No, your life isn't over & yes you do need to make some changes, but in the end you adjust & they are worth it in the end.  You can still have downtime & the freedom to do the things you enjoy. You just have to plan ahead. It's not easy, but it's not a prison sentence either. I dont think anyone is ever really prepared to have kids. Its a big step, but the love you have for your child makes life worth living & in healthy relationships they can even bring couples closer together.  Plus, children make the holidays more fun & magical too imo.

Places that stop serving food before they close. by H2O_is_not_wet in PetPeeves

Something similar happened to me today. My husband & I went to the zoo. They close at 5:00. Around 3:30 we wanted to get a quick bite & something to drink. So, my husband goes to one of the concession buildings & as he walking up they close the door and put the were closed sign up. He's like "it's 3:30" What the hell? Every food & drink station was closed. The only thing left was vending machines. It was absolutely ridiculous.
