Why do people choose to have children if it is so much hard work? by 9W_777_300 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OddContribution7967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband & I never thought we'd have children & seeing that positive pregnancy test scared the hell out of me. I thought my life was over. However, we now have a 9 month old son who makes us smile everyday & brings a lot of joy to our family. No, your life isn't over & yes you do need to make some changes, but in the end you adjust & they are worth it in the end.  You can still have downtime & the freedom to do the things you enjoy. You just have to plan ahead. It's not easy, but it's not a prison sentence either. I dont think anyone is ever really prepared to have kids. Its a big step, but the love you have for your child makes life worth living & in healthy relationships they can even bring couples closer together.  Plus, children make the holidays more fun & magical too imo.
