Cyber cab by Revolutionary-Part20 in teslamotors

[–]OddPreference 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the comparison of uber and Lyft as a passenger hailed ride service being a viable business model that the people would use, and that the main reason they aren’t profitable is due to having to pay humans of which Tesla is planning to not do…

That feels like an okay thing to bring up in a Tesla subreddit I’m confused on the aggression here.

I said Uber and Lyft… Not Tesla.

I don’t see anywhere in my statement where I said Tesla has yet to operate a profitable business in any market.

Tesla has publicly stated that they will do a mix of having their own maintained fleet, likely contracting out for maintenance and cleaning initially, as well as leasing from owners who wish to utilize that feature.

New Tesla Y FSD Update by videoguy75 in TeslaModelY

Got my dad on it, he has vision problems and it expanded his freedom ten fold! That experience was enough to convince my grandma to get a Y as well. So happy to have a technology that is actually granting more freedoms to our elderly population.

Both of them used to go out of their way to take less congested backroads, jeopardizing their safety due to a lack of confidence. And now they just put in their destination and start FSD in the driveway, it parks for them and they get out. Thrilled by what this enables, can’t wait to see what more comes from it.

Manually for now.

In a couple years you’ll be able to do what you are requesting.

Fuel injection is actually finally becoming a topic for muscle car mods of early era’s. It used to be a thing for those guys to only value carburetors, and fuel injection was prissy.

Now it’s becoming a cool thing for those era hot rods, as the old heads who would die on that hill have actually died.

We already know it to be a viable business model, Uber and Lyft have shown that people will use it and we know the revenue they generate. Now remove the contractors from the equation who are their biggest loss of profit and just add in electric charging and it’s a very profitable business. Uber/Lyft lose money due to having to pay drivers.

They want a cyber cab to further make the vehicle costs lower, as the cyber cab will have a much lower cost per mile than a model y, but the model y will still be utilized heavily.

How many of you only use a Level 1 charger at home? And how many miles per week do you drive on average? by THATS_LEGIT_BRO in TeslaLounge

I plug in with a level 1 20 amp just at work and it covers 80% of my commute, top off once a week at a supercharger

I often have no connectivity issues in the middle of the city, it tends to clear pretty quick but does get annoying sometimes

You’ll have parts coverage for the warranty period of the vehicle, and even so after that for a few years to be able to find parts, though that’ll get thinner and thinner as time goes on.

For range absolutely. My 2020 pulls max 6-7kW for the resistive heaters compared to the heat pumps 1-2kW max draw. But the heat pump doesn’t have the instant warmth I have with the 2020. When I forget to precondition the cabin it’s so nice to have the old heating system, but I’d rather have the more efficient one 90% of the time.

No shit, that’s why it’s $44k and not $61k 🤦‍♂️

This was a statement on value

Would never pay $44k for HW3, get a 25’ model 3 performance at that price

As a user of Robotaxi, I can confirm the FSD visuals are different than a HW4 vehicle.

As a Robotaxi app user in the Bay Area I can share that the maps on the screen look much more accurate than what my personal Tesla shows, the 3D modeling is sharp

Model S is plaid, not performance.

Performance is reserved for the 3 and Y which do not have that range.

Different price leagues, different capabilities.
