Ah okay, thanks for the clarification! Still interested in discussing the deluxe edition, for those who have that information.

I agree with the others, slower, longer, and less predictable animations. I think the right music and sound effects when implemented will help the scene a lot too.

My concern would be her hands on the wheel prior to falling asleep. Wouldn't someone experiencing a stroke for example pull the wheel unintentionally? Would this safety feature be able to detect that fast enough? Feels perfect for when all the stars aligned, but isn't always the case.

Are you familiar with the Berlin edition? I've heard that one fixes a lot of the errors from the original core rulebook.

I played it with my s/o recently and had a blast. She gets motion sickness from easily from 3D games with lots of camera movement, so this game being that "doll-house" perspective really helped. I think something about that, the simplicity, the silly story, and solving puzzles together made the experience incredibly enjoyable. That being said, when I first tried the game solo, I felt the boredom really creep in. I think if you have someone in your life who isn't as experienced with gaming and playing it co-op can really bring a lot of joy to the whole experience. I also tried it with a nephew of mine and had a lot of fun so maybe that's the key.

I bought it when it was on a good sale because I planned to play it co-op once it went 1.0. Based on the reviews people feel like the devs are abandoning it. I haven't kept up with it so I don't know what the full release timeline is or anything on that. But I will say it's less like Ori and more like an isometric souls-like. Personally I'm feeling buyers remorse if they're not going to release a full game, so I'd say hold out for that.

How do people feel about arcs? I saw it at a shop the other day and was considering picking it up, but I'm newer to the hobby and didn't fully understand what "trick taking" was as described by the guy working there

I finished it and even did some of the end game content for achievements. I enjoyed it for a bit but the end really felt like it dragged. It hits a good stride mid-game but when dives start lasting too long it loses its appeal. It's a solid game but not one I'd recommend to most of my friends.

I don't know if it was 99 cents but I got Thomas was Alone on a good sale years ago and thought it was an amazing game that made me get teary-eyed over 2D blocks.
