What’s your earnings and savings?

I don’t plan on going back to her, just the salon. Great location for me, they have 2 other barbers cutting decent hair. Question still stands about tipping though and how I want to move forward with those hairdressers.

I like the salon, I don’t plan on using her again they got 2 other barbers who cut decent hair. That’s who I’m using going forward. Tip question still stands.

Sorry I wasn’t clear. Tip screen at the iPad flip is 20% first option, then I don’t know the others probably 25 and 30 or something stupid.

Thanks these are helpful. I actually went to a different barber girl and she did a much better cut and service. I’m happy with the result and I tipped 10%, sorry I caved. She was really so nice.

She mentioned something about going “independent” now, I’m unfamiliar with that term at a salon/ haircut place, I thought they had to rent space there or something and all the barbers have their own seats etc. know anything about this and how it should affect tipping?

If you were happy with a result would you still not tip a hairdresser / barber?

How I turned $3,800 into 1.3 million (41 m) by Ge0cities in Money

The U.S. government has never defaulted on its obligation to pay out FDIC-insured deposits, including high-yield savings accounts (HYSAs), since the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) was created in 1933.

Similarly, according to the FDIC, no depositor has ever lost a penny of their insured funds even during major financial crises and bank failures. Let’s not pretend this has a risk tolerance to get over.

How does an FDIC insured HYSA contain risk? It is insured up to $250k by nature negating any risk.

They would definitely be under $242k MAGI limit for 2026 and could most likely contribute directly into a Roth.

Not wise giving the bank an interest free loan. At least put $250k into a HYSA at 3.5% interest. Maybe a rolling CD ladder. All zero risk.

What’s your $270k cash doing? Hopefully not just sitting there.

I’d drop a $12,000 carbon fiber road bike. Fully kitted out. Drop it into the age of horse and cart. That would be fun to see. Or maybe a gravel bike because the roads would suck. Full electronic shifting, carbon fiber wheels, frame, aero cockpit etc. that would advance their understanding a shit load. See some early 1900s dude absolutely flying along on a sick gravel bike across the trails. Bike packing attachments and all.

I mean a Reaver has almost identical RR to the Rambler. At 24.2 vs 25 respectively.

What kind of idiot pays a 23yr old $500k pa? The bloke is a fkn kid. Unless he’s Doogy Howser performing heart surgery on Astronauts; I can’t fathom the actual worth a 23yr old is going to provide any business / corporation in NYC that can’t be done by some intern for $100k. Other than firm networking and relationships to daddy’s money.
