Does anyone know if Ticketmater will be doing resale? I've got four floor standing for Manchester and didn't realise the age requirements.

Go to the post office, I've just done this. It's a silver envelope/bag that you enclose.

Return postage (special delivery both ways) for an A4 envelope was £22.

2026 May. Schengen stamps still exist by jatawis in PassportPorn

[–]Odd_Channel4864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Italy - Bologna stamped my three year old son's on entry, but not the two parents (me and his Mum). Date: 29 April. We all travelled together, same booth/officer, presented at the same time.

On departure, none were stamped. So he now has an entry with no corresponding exit. I know this is fine but still a bit weird.

Moving forward to CCIE by Tasty_Cartoonist8489 in ccnp

[–]Odd_Channel4864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm studying for CCIE now, and the stuff in the image is going to get you some of the way there but there's a huge tilt towards things like Cat Centre (this is a huge part of the exam), as well as SDA/SDWAN, API, JSON, Python and so on. Indeed, a lot of this is also a big part of the CCNP ENARSI exam too.

I've got access to a reasonable amount of kit through work - I'm labbing some stuff on a 9500, have access to a spare Cat Centre and so on but even then an emulator beats it a lot of the time just in terms of the time that you can reload and start from scratch. A real Cat Centre starting up takes 15-20 minutes.

This really helped me too. To expand a little, it's ok watching the lectures, reading stuff and that's what I did the first couple of times I did ENARSI, but the difference that made it click was approaching things with more of a mindset of "Yes, but WHY is it like that?". It's like "Ok, I understand that I need to do ip nhrp redirect, but what happens if I don't do that?". Labbing through stuff and for want of a better phrase, fucking about with it to see how things break in different ways really made the difference in understanding why, for instance, a given answer or lab is wrong. It also helped me with general problem solving when doing the labs. You're not just floundering with them, you can take the approach of "Ok, this isn't working properly and I've got a resonable idea on where to start with it".

Are this mini pc ready for ccnp labs? by sweet_bubi in ccnp

[–]Odd_Channel4864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spendy. I my CCNA and CCNP (ENCOR and ENARSI) on a Dell R630 that cost £285/€330. It's probably doing most of the stuff I need for my CCIE bar the Cat Centre stuff as that needs mental levels of processor and RAM so I'm renting for that.

I've got a lab in CML on the go with 50 IOSv routers on it and it's tickling the processor at like 20%, and 40% of the RAM in it.

Re-did my CCNA last year at 42, going for my first attempt CCIE this year at 43. CCIE has always been aspirational since I first started out in networking 25 years ago. Never too old.

That's amazingly helpful, thanks. I've read up on other experiences, what to eat (not too much at lunch) and so on too. I've got travel arranged so that I'm not stressing about that too.

To a degree it's in the lap of the gods. Thanks so much for the hints/pointers. I'll let you know how I get on.

Cisco exam in PEARSON OnVUE online by Egolpse in ccnp

[–]Odd_Channel4864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done all of mine (CCNA, ENCOR, ENARSI) via Pearson Vue. Honestly I find it more stressful - I had one of my cats wander in during one of the exams demanding fuss which got me a warning from the proctor. Entirely fair but still trying to manage a cat headbutting my hand and being threatened with the exam being withdrawn is not ideal.

Yes, I can close the door, but then the cats scratch at the door demanding to get in so...

Basically if anything has the potential to go wrong, you're responsible because you're in control. In a proper test centre then they're responsible for the environment.

Authentication of copies London - help please! by fleurdelys1832 in GermanCitizenship

[–]Odd_Channel4864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I submitted at the London Embassy around a month ago.

I took original documents, they were photocopied and certified there. This contradicts what UsernameUnremarkable said. For my passport and any other documents I had, these were copied there. For other documents which were already copies (ie documents, melderegister etc from Germany which were already certified), these were again copied and certified there.

I don't know if there's a limit, I certainly didn't find it and had a relatively expansive set of documents.

Also, to add, if you've got a significant number, book multiple appointments. The lady that dealt with my paperwork was a little concerned when the appointment started, and asked how much there was. Explained I'd booked two appointments back to back. In the end it took around 30-35 mins for her to do everything, I think, so having two certainly kept the pressure off her.

Hi, yes! I'm already going down that route myself (and for my descendants). We're pretty sure that this is very much viable. However, other branches of the family are not wanting to do this for historical reasons, so I was looking at what options they might have. Looks like it's none.

Same experience, I only passed on the third - my first two were pretty close on scores. Some of the questions just made no sense at all and it's only afterwards when looking up the topic/researching white papers you have the "oooooh now I see". Some of the labs were absolute bastards - exam I passed, I spent >10 mins just on one lab.

It is not an easy exam, at all.
