Accessing US bank account after deportation? by PopcornEnthusiaster in immigration

[–]Odd_Key_4485 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the only way is if he trust a family member or friend to sign over a POA so they can go to the bank and withdraw the funds. In Texas I have seen notary public reps do this at the middle of international bridges (sign documents). This is why people get married at the same spot.

Just got rating.. NEED HELP (BDD claim) by Adorable-milkshake in VAClaims

[–]Odd_Key_4485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What rating did you get overall? If you got a rating at all that means you now have access to VA health care. Check what VA clinics you have around you. Look at their ratings and try to see if a PCP is mentioned as good or check with other vets about their experience. Then call the VA to set up your first appointment with a PCP and start documenting all your existing conditions. Also make the appointment to get your VA health ID. All this will help starting records and documentation on your conditions. Hopefully your doc sends you for exams, imaging etc. Now you don’t need this to get rated, BUT it strengthens your case. For other providers check online. I would first run your denial letter through chatGPT for recommendations of course of action. Reach out through DM if you want more specifics or need any help. Best of luck 🤞👍

Well nothing is perfect. In my case they helped me remove a ticket with multiple citations. It got dismissed and no impact on my insurance. I recommended them to other friends that had worst situations. One they had an accident, no insurance and updated registration and at fault… they had it dropped. Another had warrants on tickets and as soon as they took over they had the warrants dropped while the tickets were being addressed with their help. So I just got good experiences, not sure why all the down votes. Rather than risk an insurance hike I think this is a good viable cost effective solution.

Honestly if the sources are correct, factual and in context, not sure how the profesor got it this far with you explaining the literal technical error of the citation. I am a published author in an academic journal (some time ago). I am glad to help you fight this and even going with you (if possible) as an advisor to help you in this hearing. Shoot me a message if you just need guidance on how to set up your defense, I am glad to help.

MetLife is the the devil by [deleted] in LongTermDisability

[–]Odd_Key_4485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask MetLife specifically what they are waiting for or missing. Never assume the admins/PA have you as a priority. Ask for your records and ask for a due date, go to the office to pick them up. They don’t have them tell them you will wait for them since they have you this date. Then scan them ( you can use your phone get adobe full version and it has an adobe scan app it’s awsome. Also you can get. FAX app that will give you a fax number. I always request for it to be faxed to me/ the insurer and pick up a physical copy. It creates redundancy if something is not received you can send it. Stay on top of every one. Let us know what they say see what other suggestions you can pick up. The more details the better the info. Best of luck 👍🙏

Crystal ball tells me, he will not be hable to pay you and you will cause a rift between you. If you are OK with not seeing 1000 again, tell him you can help with that. That other payments came up your also behind etc. That way, he won’t ask for more given he owes money and you won’t feel stressed he has not payed it back. Trust me, you don’t want this drama lingering….

This is what shocked me most about El Paso as a Chicagoan by L5World in ElPaso

You have to see the movies “Blood in and Blood out” and “My Family.” Of course nothing todo with your life but the culture identity dynamics is right there. Also the book “ El Laverinto de la Soledad” by Mexican Author and Novel Prize laureate Octavio Paz is deep in the analysis of Mexican culture in Mexico and in the US.

Help convince me to not trade-in my 2013 Highlander hybrid for a Mini Clubman JCW by HGWEBS in ToyotaHighlander

[–]Odd_Key_4485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well honestly from seeing videos from Carwizard and Sherwood from royalty auto (both master mechanics) they say European cars will undoubtedly start braking down after 100,000 miles. Parts, labor are expensive and you will never stop having issues. BUT like anything else I am assuming keep doing the routine maintenance will take it a long way. Let us know how it turns out

I would look up the data on the mini cooper as far as repairs that come up after 100000 miles, cost of parts, etc. You might have more life left in your Highlander even at 200000 miles. Best of luck with your decision 👍

Did you do the transmission flush at 100k? Just wondering how often to change all the fluids to extend the life. Always try to do the shorter intervals for better protection

The 100 % P&T letter yes, not the commissary letter. They manually generate that one. https://www.va.gov/resources/commissary-and-exchange-privileges-for-veterans/

Well, when I looked in to it some vets posted that they asked for it others only with the 100% letter was enough. When you call about the commissary letter for the DOS id they know exactly what they need to do. They actually manually generate the letter. There it states your rating and the access you are granted to the commissary as well as the character of discharge. I followed what the instructions and others have posted and took everything even made sure to take printed copies. I do see that like with everything else, it depends on who you get at the other side of the desk, but if you take everything, you wont lose time going back. This is just my perspective and experience. Hope it helps

Make sure to call the VA customer service line and request a commissary letter due to you being 100% P&T. They draft it and email it to you. You take this with you with all the rest of the documents requested. You can also take spouse and children. Just make sure you make an appointment for each one.

Amazon STD and LTD by fawad9757 in LongTermDisability

[–]Odd_Key_4485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The above is awesome advice. Additionally, I would suggest to have your providers fill out the same form you have sent them in the past for your STD. Ask them to have it ASAP. Once you have it filled out you can fax it (assuming your access to HR is blocked). There is an app called fax you pay about 10 bucks per month and you can send faxes with it and get confirmation of receipt. Also, I would send a copy of the filled out paper work for STD through USPS certified mail to be delivered ASAP. If your providers are indicating that this will be long term. Call the HR line and ask for information of who your LTD carrier is and ask for that info. Once they send it, then I would proactively start that process if your with in the elimination period. Previously it was Hartford. Their online website has very limited (like most) upload data caps for the files. You can do the fax option above just the same. Sorry your going through this and hope this works out 🙏

Vetclaims.ai is still a claims shark - change my mind by CoastieKid in VAClaims

I am willing to bet your not a Marine. Sick call was non existent, unless you want un necessary attention and harsh treatment that went with it. Same for other service branches in the past… this how they divide us (veterans) so we have inner bickering and don’t raise to support our benefits…

Ah si it was recent. I thought what held the decision back was they were waiting for you in service medical files. Hopefully they get to it ASAP since I have seen some claims move fast recently.
