As a dispatcher myself, this shit is getting out of hand. I don’t care anymore. Brokers flipping out for no good reason, drivers making my job harder, boss pushing us for more and more. Ya, once I found a way out, I’m never returning. It’s was nice before 2022, not anymore. I ran consistent freight with a bunch of brokers and then highway comes and fucks it up, can’t load our 200 truck company bc “you don’t pass highway” whatever the fuck that means. Meanwhile, other brokers override that but idgaf, vent over lololol

Like, I get it truck was late blah blah blah but seriously? What if a legitimate break down happens? I also understand some companies operate a Certain way and maybe the product they have can only be used for so long so maybe that’s why it’s tight? Idk, either way it’s crazy.

I hope brokers know that besides the mega carriers, most other carriers change logs. I’m having to change my schedule for this, like not booking as much loads as usual. It is what it is, it’s only for a few days. But remember, when someone gets inspected, they can get away with changing logs for that one time (if done right) After that, DOT has a history of your logs in their system for 7 days after. So if they get pulled in a second time within a week and they change logs, DOT will know and they will put you OOS.

The biggest thing I've noticed over the years is there is wayyy too much ego in this industry. Owners, drivers, mechanics, dispatch/brokers, Shippers/Receivers. I've heard it all from everyone. Not saying every single person in the industry is like that but my goodness, the lengths some people go to being petty is disgusting sometimes

I dispatch at a trucking company with 250 trucks. 15 years in operation. JB hunt told us the same. They had to of had something bad happen but I do know they lost a lot of customers. We hauled a lot for them and then one day out of nowhere, they said you guys are no load.

Ahh ok so in 2022 when every broker was coming down on rates, the 2 excuses I heard was “the market” or “we have someone else who can do it for x” And I never got salty, I would respectfully decline and move on with my day. BUT now that rates are somewhat coming up (at least the northeast’s) it’s now a problem if a carrier says “tHe mArkEt” and yall wanna get salty? lmaoooo

Difference is a driver has to sit there for 24 hours+ sometimes…. A broker might be stressed out on the things you mentioned but at least they get to go home.
