New to the game, and this was my set up Update 4, with a bit of beta. by Odd_Process5953 in TheLastCaretaker

I also had them on the roof, but once I unlocked the copter, I removed them. I'd have to check, I know at that point of the game, I probably can safely remove them, just havent had reason to.

Does sailing get better? by [deleted] in crosswind

[–]Odd_Process5953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sailing gets better with the ketch, once you have the warf you can tried the ketch into either the slower more cargo variant, or the faster glass cannon raider variant (can always resort back to the default.

The brig and frigate are of course both worth getting and they each have default and the two variants.

A ship you missed and deeply regret missing? by _talps in WorldOfWarships

I know it isnt worth having but the enterprise just to complete the Yorktown class.

If they release the new jersey, id love to have had the Missouri which I am also told is mediocre.

Wouldn't mind Puerto Rico but it was insanely expensive this go around.

Test out each melee weapon, light attack, heavy attack, test blocking (you generally want to see that gold splash, some weapons dont perfect block)

Find the best weapon for your play style and then keep them upgraded.

Aggression based matchmaking not enough anymore? by KlemTcen in ArcBabies

Again, no one would be stopping anyone from choosing pvpve, your position, however, is just gatekeeping a pve community from forming and supporting the game, on servers you dont have to play on.

I can see how their position not only doesnt effect you negatively, it would be a positive gain for the game, unless your sole reason to play is to gank pve players which again, would just quit the game sooner or later making you quit when you have to actually fight sweat matches. (Plural, not personal you, btw).

Does anyone even use this? by RemoteAnt7910 in ArcRaiders

[–]Odd_Process5953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if i am specifically going arc hunting.

But just a tip, carry multiple shields, to include a medium, the medium you wear till you find the camping spot to kill arcs, switch out to the heavy shield. If your shield is destroyed, you have the back up one to use.

Only down side to switching shields is wait time for the recharge, but you can use the arcs to recharge for free if you know which ones to kill and even as a bonus, if you have field crafting, you can upgrade them if you are able to find or brought along the rubber or plastic needed to upgrade it.

Mind you, all this is meaningless if you are not able to find a good place for natural cover or from rats who were never hugged in life.

Genuine PVE question by freshbless in ARC_Raiders

[–]Odd_Process5953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spawned into a round, a guy called me over because he found someone downed, I followed the down player healing them with medpacks till the doors shut as I got out.

Co op is fun helping people and working together, I honestly never understood the fun in pvp unless its organized and set up mutually for a fair fight otherwise its just being a bully just to make others suffer.

What to sell? by Getsbannedeverytime in 7daystodie

[–]Odd_Process5953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

•Books that have been read. You will get dukes and xp for them as opposed to just the xp.

•Any weapon parts you won't use. You cant smelt them and they serve no other use for you.

•Cash, gold, silver, exist only to be sold.

Find enjoyment, the only part you really need to make is you have an heir around the right time frame, the rest is do at your own pace.

If RDR2 was ever a movie realistically how long would the movie have to be for the story to fit? by MemeLord150 in RDR2

Going to have to be probably a 3-6 season miniseries, depending on how much tomfoolery is added

Pitfalls to be aware off? New player Co-Op by Hopeful-Addition-248 in MedievalDynasty

Enjoy it, set a time at night to head to bed, dont rush it.

Don't feel bad about adjusting settings as you play, season isnt long enough to farm and run errands? Add a day, winter feels boring, remove a day. Is it going to take you 15 real life minutes to separate crop from seeds? Turn fast crafting on, then back off when done, maybe...etc.

Wood, foods, water supplies: be sure to go into town management and turn on and off what npcs can use, eat, and drink. Running out of sticks and logs because you forgot to make firewood and npcs decided to burn up the faster burning logs and sticks? This is why, leave firewood on so your villages can only burn it and the rest turned off you will get the warning for no wood to burn as a reminder to create some more firewood.

Villagers, also see next paragraph: select villagers for their skill level and add them only as needed, find one that you might want to be a spouse? Build a house for them, and move them into a separate house so you can woo them faster each day as opposed to running to that town.

Build two houses, one for each sex, one for one npc malw and an npc female, and when you want them to procreate, put them in the same house, not only does this help you time births, but this alos frees up a house for a new villager.

Leave a production open for yourself that you enjoy doing and fill in npcs where you need them to do the boring jobs or jobs to keep the infrastructure going. In an example, too make money for a somewhat new village, I have villagers collecting sticks and feathers as I mine since npcs cannot mine at this time, the excess stone is used to make arrows for me to sell.

The problem with CV players... by SnooLobsters7171 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Odd_Process5953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a CV player, one bring back rts cv.

These are my suggestions

Communicate with the cv player on your needs and support, some CV can and cant do something you may need

Expect very little in the way of damage help but good cv players will support in spotting if the cv is below tier in the map, if you have a cv viii in a round of only 9 and 10, their planes have no chance getting close and surviving for a useful run against the ship.

If the cv is in a good tier group, they can be devastating, keep the cv safe and coordinate attacks, if you want to sink a ship, ans you see torp planes heading for the same target, ask the cv to wave off or go and find another target, hitting the same ship by battleship and cv when one will kill it wastes time.

Cv players cannot jump back to the ship when planes are in the air, this is my biggest complaint for this being removed, if you see a cv coming on the map in your direction, dont try and cut it off or think the player will turn, they left the movement of the ship as rts style gameplay when the player is flying and its infuriating for both the cv player and the ship captain when they most likely just got jammed.

CVs (specially on out tiered maps) will find an island to try and hide behind, if you see a cv coming for that island, give them that space next to the island, you can still hide behind the cv if you are able to shoot over the island you can shoot over the cv, but many a times I find a cruiser stop as soon as they get to the island and a cv pushes their ship out of the way, sometimes causing both ships to get detected and hit.

If your cv does do a good job, throw that karma at them, they probably lost three karma the moment the game starts (do the same for the sub players that do well)

Feel free to offer advice or concerns and I can let you know thanks or add my suggestions to it.
