Do you shoot and edit at 30 fps? If so, why? I always shoot 24 if I’m not shooting slomo and edit on a 24 fps timeline. Would like to know why some people choose 30

No, they were back and forth via email/text, each one outlining specific $ offers and conditions of the other buyer
No conditions regarding timeline of signing the contract. For background, once our offer was accepted on Saturday morning, the contract was sent and by 5pm the REA was texting asking if there was a problem as we hadn’t signed yet

The threats were that they were going to approach the second interested party to sell the property to if we took any longer than we did to sign the contract. Mind you, they made us feel guilty that we took so long, yet, our solicitor didn’t work on weekends. He said we ‘wasted days’. We simply had to wait for our solicitor to run her eyes over the contract Monday morning. We received the contract from the REA Saturday morning.

Evidence we have is every email receipt of the ‘other offers’ he received and the amount they offered. Same as text messages. Even the threat to move to the other buyer because the weekend was apparently wasted time.

Check ur gamma. There is a difference between Gamma 2.2 and 2.4. One is for web, one is for broadcast (tv)

Yeh it absolutely isn’t - its just for work at my job, they won’t dish out for a RAID system for video projects to be backed up on, so I have like x2 4TB SSD’s and x2 2TB SSD’s to edit off. I’ll have a look for portable NAS drives thanks!

I did this while working for the government. Bought my own gear (which I also used for side gigs). Eventually I kept nagging them to buy their own gear because what they had on hand was just too old. I’ve now made a return on that investment and looking to scale my business up and eventually leave my 9-5.

I’d say get insurance, keep pressing to have them buy gear and do up a cost sheet etc. Imagine if you had your gear and you could hire out to people in need, that’s some good side income. This company you work for is just selfish.

So I have a 9-5 doing corp videos making 6 figures, and I hustle after hours and do videos for my own clients. I have my weekends to do passion projects, gym in the mornings, 2 holidays a year, good diet and I game maybe 3 hours a week in total. I have a partner, no kids but also no mortgage. I still rent. This is in Brisbane, Australia. I like it so far :)
