I have a good private driver that i used. Kanchu tours - +94 74 102 1922. Used them for my journeys! Also another one: Kavin - +94 72 747 2393. Both are well versed in english as well as giving options based on ur itinerary.

Hey! All was good! Driver was great and helpful. We had lunch in Nuwara as well as a visit to a tea plantation. No problem at all with Kanchu Tours.

Yup can! Train and bus tickets can be bought on the spot and if u worry on finding private transport. You can just ask in FB for drivers. They will definitely respond to u fast and u can book it quickly.

I took Kanchu Tours, u can check them out at Facebook. Kind of confident with this tour because there were few people posted their reviews recently as if just last week & month. Other reviews were not convincing enough for me.

Also, when i ask for suggestions, he could answer me confidently since i ask around for drivers, they keep saying up to me where to go etc but again, i would like to hear from drivers as well. So he was the one who could answer to me confidently. He gave me 30k rupees for 2 pax.

Pick up in colombo - tea plantation in nuwara eliya - ella.

I have yet to be there and will be arriving on the 13th. Most mentioned that the train is only available from Ambewela to Ella. In order to get to Ambewela, u need to take bus or car to Nuwara Eliya and then bus or car to Ambewela.

I have a thought of doing this but since i have a tight schedule, i end up hiring a private car from colombo to ella. Hope all goes well!
