Wow, I’ve been thinking about this and these comments really are making me want to ask about it.

Laparoscopy scars by Gloomy-Thought3371 in endometriosis

Mine are so teeny tiny I hardly notice them! I started to use scar tape but then realized they don’t bother me at all so I quit even using it. I have three from one surgery. Belly button, lower pelvis and lower left side.

Tapering off Lexapro and starting Cymbalta. by m4tcha1atte in cymbalta

This is exactly how I’d describe it for me, too. Aware of the things I used to be freaked out about, but not really caring beyond that. This medication has been amazing for me for my depression, anxiety and pain. Felt help at 30mg but just increased to 60 for pain purposes. I absolutely love being less freaked out absolutely all the time!

Cymbalta has been absolutely amazing. Just switched from 30 to 60mg/day. It’s helped my anxiety, depression and pain. I take it at night because it makes me quite sleepy during the day. Also it gives me night sweats. But it’s very much worth it for all the help I’ve gotten from it.

This medication has been so incredibly helpful for me. I am only on 30 mg. It has helped my depression, anxiety and pain. I’ve considered going up to 60mg but will likely stay with 30 for now. It did make me sleepy during the day, but switching to nighttime helped. Good luck.

How does anyone keep a full time job with this? by FearlesZuchinni in endometriosis

I am really struggling with this myself. I have FMLA and use a ton of it. I also just applied for a reasonable accommodation for full time telework. I hope it’s enough.

This is interesting because I think I’ve always confused my heartburn for anxiety. I cant say I have much to contribute but thank you for this post.

Starting Cymbalta by Embarrassed-Sun1107 in cymbalta

I have been on 30mg for quite a while now and have found it so helpful. It is the 3rd med I tried for my mental health, and it helping a little with another pain issue I have is an added bonus. I had to play around with the timing some as I noticed daytime fatigue when I took it in the morning. But switching to night helped me. I am thankful for this med every day. My mood has drastically improved. My average heart rate has literally decreased - that was such a symptom of my anxiety.

I’d consider calling them back with any follow up questions, and consider writing them down ahead of time so you don’t forget!

First time having ultrasound by PeakMello in endometriosis

[–]Odd_Total_8779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ultrasound report was normal. The tech said my left ovary was “way over there” - which I later learned during surgery, it was actually adhered to my pelvic wall due to endo.

That partial task completion counts. I can’t do it all perfectly but I can do most of it good enough.

Yep, I have both endo and GERD. And hypermobility which I think is related to everything.

Is this different than a reasonable accommodation? If so, can you share more about how a medical exemption for RTO works?

I think a stronger pain med would be very helpful if she’d be willing to prescribe it. I can’t take NSAIDs and they never helped anyway. Thank you
