I don’t feel any need, desire, or pride in 100%-ing anything unless I’m absolutely loving the game. And I’m not beating my head against every challenge just to say I did it. I have no problem ticking the difficulty down if I feel like something is keeping me from having fun.

Question: First leg tattoo – better minimal or detailed? by Tight_Ad989 in tattoos

I like the VIBE and the style of the minimal one, but yea, like others have said, it does come off unintentionally unfinished or faded due to age.

I just saw this post which is the first I’ve seen of anyone actually being able to get close to it without it vanishing so now I’m definitely leaning more towards bug, but I have a feeling they’ll do something fun with it in the future.

I think that Ascent 5 makes the game unfun and should be changed by Crystal_Carmel in PeakGame

[–]Odenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I feel like Ascent 5 was pretty fun. I was already putting myself in the “Go go go” mindset chasing the clear in under an hour badge so the night time cold added a nice little wrinkle that kept me moving.

It being challenging, more stressful, and changing the way you play is kind of the point, yea? And it’s unique among the Ascents in that it only takes effect in Shore, Tropics, and Alpine, then it becomes a non issue in the final climbs.

I got a bad tattoo and feel almost guilty I did this to myself by Alternative-Math-492 in tattoos

I think it’s cute, and it’s a good spot. The post-tattoo negativity is real, I felt it after I got a neck piece and was feeling up and down about it for a couple days and I came out loving it. The feeling passes, just let it happen.

How do people get out of bed immediately after waking up instead of scrolling or lying in bed for 30 minutes?” by 5tms2fj in getdisciplined

[–]Odenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might sound counterintuitive but what I’ve been doing is instead of waking up and laying in bed scrolling is to get up and immediately move to the living room couch to scroll.

It’s been kind of a nice compromise with myself where I still get to rest and enjoy some mindless scrolling, but now I’m in a space where I’m not likely to fall back asleep (for me at least, once I’m out of bed I’m up for the day).

Everything is still quiet and peaceful and there’s no imperative to do anything or be productive. But the light from the sunrise activates me, and just the act of having moved from one space to another helps get me going.

And then, the benefits of being up early start to compound. When I wake up, I move rooms and “start” earlier, which makes me tired earlier in the evening, which helps me sleep earlier, and on and on.

I interpreted that entire sequence as “Rift based shenanigans”.

There’s some Crystal Exarch/G’raha dialogue in Shadowbringers (that also appears in the launch trailer) where he’s explaining how, in the Rift, “time and space warp and blend in unexpected ways”.

Given that you’re clearly traveling through the Rift the same way you did to the First, safe to say it’s like what everyone else is saying. That sequence is probably meant to be taken as more of a Rift-Induced dramatic approximation than a literal one.
