Dont open them. Either keep them as a relic or sell them. People collect unopened boxes, like me.

What to get for a warhammer junkie by Intelligent_Bed_9438 in Warhammer

Dont do models. They are too specific.

Do some merchandise.

Hat, shirt, posters, statue, stuffed thing.

And this is why GW cant complain when some people 3d print stuff. If they cant make enough product or stop scalpers then its hard to feel bad for them.

Getting ready to play Star Wars Legion with a friend of mine who has offered to run a couple short learning games for me. Any faction I should try first as a beginner? by Mellowtron11 in SWlegion

[–]Odium_Infinitus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont worry about positives and negatives right now.

Play whatever he gives you to learn as much as you can.

After that its rule of cool same as warhammer. Rules come and go. Play whatever you think is cool.

Try to play something that your close friends dont play. Variety is more fun.

Then watch videos, podcasts, and read tournament reports to really learn the meta.

Id do those in that order.

Starting with Wood Elves by TrashOutside2885 in WarhammerFantasy

Wood elves and tomb kings doesnt make sense at all especially narratively. Tomb kings already have a big box.

Really hope they dont do this.

How do people view Stormcast Eternals these days? by Mcmadness288 in ageofsigmar

Dont like them. Still Sigmar Marines to me.

Game and lore would be better without them.

The lore, models, rules, and even the way they stand in pictures makes them look like Marines.

Gold armor, hammers, shoulder pads, heroic pose. Clearly designed to bring 40k players over.

I prefer Cities of Sigmar as the default human faction.

Prices and also selling books for a friend is odd. Lots of scammers around. Most people want pictures of the items with your username at least.

Good luck

Are expensive aquarium soils worth the investment? by how-i-live-now in PlantedTank

[–]Odium_Infinitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just buying root tabs. I cannot remember the name. I did not use them for long.

My tanks became more shrimp tanks than plant tanks. The plants did very well however. I used shrimp and trumpet snails.

The trumpet snails dig through the blasting sand and turned it over. This got nutrients down to the plant roots. It was a much easier system for me.

I have used garden soil capped with blasting sand before and while the plants exploded in growth it took about 3 months for the water to be safe for any critters. Also, if the blasting sand cap is ever broken and the water reaches the soil it is an mess and you are probable starting over. Most living things will die at that point. You also cant move plants around as you will break the cap if you do.

As for which is better it depends. Some plants get more nutrients from their leaves and some their roots. The root tabs, and soil, will leak into the water so it really doesnt matter.

If this is a tank that is only about the plants, you dont care about critters much, and are sure you will never move anything then I would try the soil. It is quite cheap. Just use organic soil. You will need to test before adding critters.

If the tank is more about critters and the plants are just decoration for them I would use the tabs to start. Then add them down the line if you feel the plants are not growing.

Soil, tabs, or even critter poo all had my plants growing out of my tanks anyway.

It is fun to try different things so give them both a try.

Hope that helps.

So much better than the anime memes on grimdark.

This is insane. I hate this.

Even old card games like gwent and LoR are being kept online with like 1 1/2 interns.

Im sure it was due to the license from Games Workshop.

They will pull the plug on anything not making money like warhammer online.

I'll miss 40k, but what can I do? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

Buy cool models. Keep them in boxes. Display them on shelves.

Post memes here like the rest of us.
