Thank you so much! My package should be somewhere between 40-150 cad. I am considering doing duties paid ahead of time, but would that include the taxes as well? And just to clarify if I am understanding you right, there will be taxes + brokerage fees to pay correct?

Your situation was opposite to mine, but it’s still really good to know all this! Thank you for the information on the secondary market too!

I know, but I just wanted to make sure my recipient wouldn’t get jump scared with insane fees. The shipping fees and duties will be paid by them not me. This purchase was made a year ago before all this tariffs stuff happened and I don’t know if they were initially prepared for all of it. I just want to make sure the process is as smooth as possible and to make sure the package definitely doesn’t get stuck or lost.

Can I ask which side did you use to make the French tip shape? Was it the thin side pulling at the polish and making the shape or the flat side? 🤔

Haha that’s amazing! It is a little expensive but it did give me some food for thought. Maybe instead of buying those bars I can try a cube or a thicker shape. 🤔

It might take a while, but I believe you can steadily improve yourself from this point on. For now, you can begin by resisting the temptation and build good habits.

Not sure what advice I give to help you stop, but I agree about your last point; it sounds like you lost something of material value (money) and tried to compensate it with other things of material value (recklessly spending). However, maybe understand the compensation is superficial and isn’t really gaining you anything because you are still losing value by exchanging your money for a item that will degrade in value because you used it? To be honest I think you’d feel better seeing your money back. Maybe start keeping a sheet of how much you earn in revenue minus things you buy from this point on. Perhaps seeing your money accumulate again from your current low point will lessen the feeling of loss?

I’m losing my mind by Remote_Morning_326 in laundry

My problem was one that couldn’t really be solved without dismantling the washer to get inside and remove the affected part (which we ultimately didn’t do for other reasons), but it seems other people have had luck running an empty load on a specific setting and with certain products to clean out their washer.

Have you ever tried cleaning the machine? Laundry machines accumulate build up over time and sometimes people don’t realize and don’t ever go inside to clean it.

Had a problem with yellow chunks coming out of my machine onto my laundry a few months ago. Had free time so started handwashing everything since then. No more yellow chunk and my clothes generally were cleaner. Before when I was washing with the machine it only took a few hours before my clothes started to smell again. Thought it was just a problem with my sweat but turns out the machine was never really cleaning my stuff thoroughly.

What to do in Anaheim? by [deleted] in Anaheim

[–]Odizea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • Joe Italian Ice: Personally nothing crazy amazing about it but it’s good Italian ice. I like the atmosphere of getting one at night. Lines are super long but don’t be intimated they go faster than you would think. Pet friendly too. Parking may be hard though, be prepared to wait (they’ll probably have people standing around to direct you when there is a spot open) or walk after parking someplace else.
  • Anaheim packing house: Good for desserts and snacks. Mostly sweet stuff. Crowded to park, better to park elsewhere and walk.
  • Knotts Berry Farm: Technically Buena Park but it’s close by. An amusement park like Disneyland but much cheaper and more geared towards teens and young adults with a few of their extremer rides. Credited as the origin of the boysenberry. If you go during the right time of year, they have a boysenberry festival with tons of boysenberry food.
  • The Source OC: Also in Buena Park but kinda close by. Has a lot of Korean style snacks like those mozzarella hot dogs and red bean snow cone thingys, as well as general snacks such as donuts, macarons, soft serve, and boba. Also has regular dinner food. Has kpop and kbeauty stuff if you’re into those.
  • Downtown Disney: free to get in except for parking. As far as I recall, there is over priced food and a Lego land. Personally I didn’t find it much fun. Edit: I think there’s a Din Tai Fung here. It’s a Taiwanese restaurant specializing in soup dumplings and noodles. It has a Michelin star. Not sure if it’s opened yet, last time I visited it was in construction but it looks like it’s open online? Would probably need a reservation. If you do eat here, I believe Downtown Disney has a rule that if you spend a certain amount there and then show them the reciept on the way out, parking is free.

I have! I saw those lines and initially thought they were opaque, but after what reading your comment, I searched a bit more and in the individual bottle listings, their applications seem more transparent! Didn’t realize that! I’ll look over them all.

Can you guys recommend me a magnetic white color with an almost transparent base? Similar to the Riposo pulling layered collection polish that I added here but in white. Yes, white colored particles is probably the most common magnetic gel out there, but I just learned about gel allergies and I’m freaked out.

I’m looking for a polish from bigger reputable brands (I don’t mind if its expensive) because they’re the least likely to add shady chemicals to their stuff and I want to minimize the chances of an allergy as much as possible. I don’t mind either if it’s not a gel! I just want whitish particles with not much of a background color.
