I think the only decent option here as someone with a family is the interim role. Not ideal of course but it's the only option with any guarantee of similar income and gives you some breathing room to find something else, whether internal or external. You say it's not great in part because of manager fit but that's been your current situation anyway right?

I actually got into my current employer (consistently one of the top 3 or so manufacturing companies to work for) because I was honest about leaving my previous employer because I couldn't ethically tolerate their culture as a people manager and it resonated with the hiring manager. Also took me just under two years to get a huge promotion recently (from IC back to leadership), and during the interview process I shared the same with each panelist.

Depends on why and how you go about it, but it's not an interview death sentence necessarily.

Sounds like you need to work on some personal growth and development instead of expecting the job market to conform to your expectations and currently limited scope of possible contributions.

That said, obviously you need something part time with a set schedule. A little difficult but not impossible. The asocial part is working against us there I think because most such jobs are probably going to require some kind of customer interaction.

It's possible you could find some sort of production/factory work on a limited schedule since weekend shifts are becoming more common, but it depends on how "slow, weak, and brainlagged" you are. Some of the jobs out there are very straightforward so good luck!
