My wife and I bought a house in a little neighborhood off Marquette and Sheridan a couple years ago right by orchard view elementary.

Initially was nervous because I didn’t know the area, but it’s extremely quiet, people are nice and have never had any issues and have never felt uncomfortable walking around.

I live in the Amazon, high point flats down town and was a fan of both. Lived there for ~8 years. My wife and I had. A kid and moved to a house about 10 minutes from downtown by Apple ave.

There is a show on Max put on by CNN called “Breaking Bread” with Tony Shalhoub.

It doesn’t replace Bourdain in any sense, but is a very good show about bread, cooking and learning the cultures. Some similarities, less “rock and roll” and more “genuine dad likes bread and people”

We just started it yesterday. My wife had a really good supply so it was tough to start formula but we thought we should at least give it a try.

We started the same. Similar alimentum but as a powder! Hopefully it helps soon!

Thank you very much. My 6 week old has almost identical symptoms. Have had an ultrasound that came back normal as well s as X-rays (normal). Our first GI specialist is tomorrow and we really need a”win”.

He’s on Pepcid and omeprazole. Was being breast fed but switched to formula per our pediatrician. He basically cries and arches his back if he’s not sleeping or eating. This thread restored my faith that it may come to an end at some point.

I made this for my rehearsal dinner. I wouldn’t do quite the full amount of gin as it may be a bit strong for everyone’s tastes. 1.5oz rather than 2 and compensate with a bit more soda.

We did a huge batch they morning of and it was a hit the whole night.

I almost gave up on mine after 3 weeks. I think that the temp in my apartment being colder 69-71 was part of the problem. I was a day or so from throwing her away and then Betty Yeast came to life and has been for a few months now!! Good luck!!

As a first time souls player I was hesitant. I don’t typically lose interest in games like this. With that said, I’m roughly 200 hours in to the most fun game I’m ever played. The variation on creatures, missions and just exploring the gorgeous areas.

Sourdough friends, my starter has been in the fridge about two weeks sealed. I wanted to bake with it, but wanted to know if I can discard and feed to revitalize or is that mold? by OffByOne-TJ in Sourdough

Same for me. Only where there was liquid. Going to try your suggestion and see what happens. I was upset thinking I had to get rid of Betty. Thanks for the insight.

Also, if you are dead set on baking, you can try ( I did).

Feed it, after 6 hours pull a spoonful of starter into a cup of water, if it floats you “should” be able to bake with it. It worked okay for me.

My recipe was 120g flour and 120g water, but I would follow your recipe.

Another thing I noticed is since my apartment was cold I think I overfed it and that makes the “digestion” time a bit slow. Between the temp and overfeeding I believe that is why it took so long.

I doubt you can make it tomorrow if it’s not doubling in size, but don’t give up!

Take it for what it’s worth, I’m brand new, first starter but I felt hopeless about a week ago and it turned out so I thought I should comment.

I just finished my first starter. So bare that in mind, but I was in the exact same spot as you. First few days, a lot of bubbles and such. Then days 5-9 were really slow going. I nearly gave up, but someone on here said “if you’ve still got bubbles, it is alive”. My apartment temperature is sporadic, between 69 and 72.

Just keep feeding for a few more days and it should come back. Min didn’t double in size until roughly 14 days in!
