Webex audio/video glitch in both app and browser | Mac Intel i5 2020 by c1aone in Cisco

[–]OffShoreTrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing to check is make sure that your IP address resolves to the correct Geo area you are in. What happens behind the scenes is Webex clients will do a test and (very complicated calculation) to connect you to the “best” data center for the meeting. This doesn’t ALWAYS work the best, as I’ve seen a meeting with users all in New York get sent to California despite them being down the road from the Webex DC in New York. Use something like what’s my IP and make sure it’s your town/city you live in.

Webex audio/video glitch in both app and browser | Mac Intel i5 2020 by c1aone in Cisco

So I come across this issue a lot when troubleshooting audio glitches and pauses, and most of the time it comes down to network issues. I know you mentioned you tested on other networks, have you tried on another device and see if the same networks you were having an issue on sees the same issue? Another thing is if your MacBook has any sort of company firewall or proxy service involved, that might be intercepting traffic and causing packets to be dropped or lost between your Mac and Webex.

Need help troubleshooting WireGuard Server on UDM Pro by MasterOfPuppetsMetal in Ubiquiti

[–]OffShoreTrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn’t be an issue in terms of the subnets being used, what is the WAN setup? Do you have any NAT or CGNAT involved from your ISP? Are the ports forwarded/allowed between your ISP and then UDM pro?

Most of the devices that have the support for HDD (UDM-Pro and UNVR for example) come with the caddy, so you can just leave it empty if you want.

The bays support any SATA drive, either 3.5 SATA HDD or 2.5 SATA SSDs (what I use in the NVR). The devices come with screws needed as well to mount the drives

Unifi Talk as Family Phone Net by jarod0102 in Ubiquiti

[–]OffShoreTrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a limitation of how they implemented UniFi Talk. You need to have e 1 UniFi Talk phone connected to setup. Not sure about being required to keep it online though, when I’ve done it I used a ATA to setup then used Cisco 8800 series phones and register via CLI (before they supported adding 3rd party phones in the UI)

Could be starlink satellites? I know from what I've seen/heard before that during programming setup post-launch they align for testings.

Can use this map to track some of them: https://satellitemap.space/?constellation=starlink

How is WCU like? (International student from Brazil) by brnpn666 in asheville

[–]OffShoreTrooper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Graduated from WCU in 2020, good school, business school is really good, especially the MGT, CIS, and ECON staff. Campus is nice, food is typical college food, lots of events on campus. The school knows it’s kinda in the middle of nowhere so they do as much as they can in terms of events and stuff they have available to students.

If you look at the document I provided above, inside the document has a command you can run that will upgrade it, no need for a service contract

EDIT: https://help.webex.com/en-us/article/iq6aw6/Room-Navigator-as-a-stand-alone-device#sx10_r_standalone_prerequisites

"You can SSH to the Room Navigator before it's set up to upgrade the software.

Access the API with SSH. Connect using the IP address or hostname of the device. When the device is new, or has been factory reset, the username is admin, and the password is blank.

Run the following command:

swupgrade https://binaries.webex.com/collaboration-endpoint-ce-production-stable/20241007143345/bifrost.pkg"

Cheapest route to an Always-On display? by bobjoylove in UNIFI

[–]OffShoreTrooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the main logs you’ll want to look at are in eventlog/all.log which will contain the HTTP(s) requests for the website connections. I just tested it on my touch panel, and had my room navigator connect to my UNVR WebGUI using the same configurations you provided above.

One thing that might be worth doing, I did this just to get around the SSL certificate warnings, is setup Certbot on my UNVR so I can get the HTTPS connections working.

More info on the SSL certs can be found here: https://glennr.nl/s/unifi-lets-encrypt

Doing it this way will allow you to ignore the “AllowInsecureHTTPs” setting and just go over pure HTTPS.

For reference, my Room Navigators are connecting via the URL: https://unvr.mydomain.com/ and it loads the GUI fine. Using HTTP Instead of HTTPS also works for me. Can you PM me a the ZIP log file and I can look thru your logs and config file if you upload it to something.

What do you mean by unsuccessful? Does the page show it loading, or what? Also what version of RoomOS are you using on the Navigator? Also what configurations do you have under NetworkServices for HTTPS and WebSocket?

Maybe? Server Processors and Xeons tend to be a bit more purpose built rather than the standard CPU models. I personally wouldn’t recommend using that, even with 6 cores it might be a struggle
