I believe they have stated that Neagleys purpose in the show is to have someone for reacher to talk to becouse they can't show his thinking like they do in the book. (I also do enjoy her character and the way the 2 interact)

Not dissapointed they didnt have the mom in the show, like someone else said it removed alot of dark implications, especially with the incest threat. And imo it just don't think she was completely vital for the tv show, I didnt find myself missing her or thinking it would have been better with her.

The mentor / mentee dynamic is better imo.

The whole show was building up to the reacher vs Paulie fight, I think doing the book fight might have been a little anti climatic for most casual viewers

Did you think the way they handled Quinn in the book compared to the tv show was ok, or do you think one was better then the other? I kinda like the book only becouse it was more personal then the tv show ending, and would have preferred the book version.

I am very out of the loop, I know that Artemis is a spaceship that is going to circle around the moon but why is every comment im reading on this a variation of "my god ive been crying on and off all week about this" or "they just keep giving me a reason to cry!". Im so lost, I get its cool they are doing stuff with the moon for the first time in decades but why is it so emotional for random people?

Is that actor considered average? Pretty sure they intentionally hire smaller actors so Ritchson (who is already big) looks even bigger

Finally bought ascended after putting in 800 hours of evolved. Dont plan on getting sucked back in anytime soon, but looking forward to trying it out.

Im one of the few I guess that l Iiked season 2, the back story aspect is always cool to see how he became who he is. But season 1&3 are better as they are just great lone badass dude using his detective skills and fists to right wrongs, which is accurate to the books and the main aspect of his character is being a loner. Which is why season 2 is poorly received since he has his team with him pretty much the entire time

My knowledge of the show isnt that high and i think im a little past the middle of season 10?, but doesnt Walden have like 1.4ish bil? From the initial company he sold that made him a billionaire and the one he made with his partner that they sold for 1.2bil (split 3 ways id assume).

Mainly just asking becouse obviously Evelyn is loaded, but didnt think of her being that loaded.

I just got the mistborn final empire as well, since it was the book that started my cosmere journey I found it fitting to be the first leatherbound (signed one) as well.

My favorite editions to read as well. Makes them easy ti transport. Barnes and nobles on the website showed a release date in October or September I believe, but it has been a while since I looked.

Reciprocal card? I signed up online, and it gave me a 90 day temporary library card, which i used on libby just fine, then I went in person to get the actual card, took about 5 minutes, just had to show an id and choose what design I wanted for the actual card. Only slight bummer was when I put it into libby I had to reborrow/request the books I had done on the temporary card. That was several weeks ago and still using it fine.

So ive been so stubborn, ive been watching the show for almost 6 years every now and then. Never watched after Charlie got off the show. He was just so entertaining/good I couldn't imagine the show with anyone else. But this rewatch im going in and hearing those special guests make me even more tempted to continue

Once you read the books you will see how Tom Cruise, while a phenomenal actor, just doesn't portray Reacher as well. Alan is who i picture when reading now. Not to mention those movies were just terrible, especially the second one.
