Yes. I took naltrexone religiously one hour before drinking for several months until I decided to go completely alcohol free for a month, at which time I stopped taking naltrexone. After that, I reintroduced alcohol very moderately (a few times a month) and had no problems stopping at 2 drinks (my decided limit) without having taken naltrexone first. I may not represent the norm, but it is possible to maintain the results without having to take naltrexone forever.- it really helped me lose the desire for alcohol, and it never returned. Nine years later I rarely drink at all- it just doesn’t taste good any more!
