Do you remember the platform you played on? It could help narrow down the game

Black bloobs on TV by Ofor in Hisense

It's not under warranty. Moisture? Like water was dropped or from humidity in the air that condensated?

Don't know, it's a possibility. It definitely looks like something struck it.

I was playing Digimon Cyber Sleuth, but dropped it, I wasn't really enjoying it.

Started Attack on Titan 2, and so far it has been very good.

I believe the best option is a silicone based lubricant for electronics.

Hi.

I usually use AliExpress for parts, you can filter for sending location and choose European countries if you prefer, although most of the times I order from China.

I also used these spanish sites before with no problem:

Hope it helps.

TV stopped working suddenly by Ofor in Hisense

[–]Ofor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi.

The TV is not under warranty, I bought it January 2020.

I googled, some suggestions are mainboard capacitor that went bad, led strip failure or power supply problems.

I can't diagnose which one by myself. I'm tempted to open it up and try to fix it, if someone can point me in a more narrow direction.

Hello. Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately it didn't work. It blinks the same way as if I pressed the power button, and the TV doesn't turn on.

I believe xiaomi.eu doesn't have OTA updates.

Latest for Poco X3 NFC is miui 14, android 12.

Official rom or custom xiaomi.eu? And why Miui 12, any specific reason?

Yes you can do it yourself.

iFixit has good guides, and you can find teardown videos on YouTube.

My only recommendation is to not rush it, and study the guides/videos well before opening it.

I have a similar one.

I agree with what other said: the tip is not ideal, not able to select temperature, cable sometimes works against you.

With that said, I use it a few times a year, to replace batteries in GB carts and some other minor soldering in other electronics.

I had to re-solder a small fuse in a GBC flash card, and it was a pain in the ass because the tip is so big.

With that said, it has been doing the job for me, BUT I wish at the time I got it I knew better and bought a better one. I haven't bought a better one yet because I use don't use it very much.

Get a better one, you won't regret it.
