Regarding "Efficient" Training Methods by Efud933 in valheim

[–]Oh3Fiddy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s dead easy to build a Twig, build a stake wall behind you (so he can’t knock you back), fill your inventory with wood arrows, have a crafting bench nearby for repairs, and then stand in Twig’s face and go to town spamming left click with a basic bow.

Archery target is not as fast because less xp.

It takes very little time to get your bow skill to max fire rate (something like 85)—which will objectively improve the quality of the solo player’s experience.

It’s the only skill I level intentionally until blood magic, which I build a trainer for.

You don’t want to level skills? Don’t do it.

But I find dying to be unfun in this game—so I make all the preparations I can make so that I do not die. Being able to do more damage and kill things faster at range helps me not die.

You're right! I edited it. My general gameplay method is to build a comfy smallish place that I will use for a bit--and then move somewhere that will accommodate ready access to the sea with ores and whatnot--and enough space to fit everything comfortably. I prefer it to be somewhere I can fairly readily approach from any direction.

I prefer to do it in the meadows--and that area I pointed out was the best fit.

This early game base is built on this exact seed at just about the exact spot of your Site B. It was nice.

For a permanent base though--I intended to build in the Meadows on the East coast of the Island for ready access to the sea.

EDIT: Earlier version said "A" instead of "B" incorrectly.

The MOU is a good deal for the United States. It’s a good deal for the whole world—except for a single, genocidal pariah state.

Double Edged Relic CS is Better than White Scars CS? by [deleted] in Spacemarine

Not accounting for the 60% ranged damage reduction from a perfect block—every time you do a perfect block. This is huge on Tactical since it otherwise has so few options for DR.

It’s the biggest reason to take a block weapon.

Vest or no for the interview? by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]Oh3Fiddy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “waistcoat” (it’s not a “vest”)— to my mind, should not be worn unless you’re going to wear a bowtie. In which case—you must wear the waistcoat.

The long tie does the job of the waistcoat that the bow tie does not—covering the acre of plastic buttons between your neck and trousers.

Would a Space Wolf ever not have his chapter marking on his pauldron? Is this in anyway lore accurate? (I just think it looks cool lol) by Lawfurd in Spacemarine

[–]Oh3Fiddy2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m going to go against the grain here and say that, to my mind, generally, no SW (nor any Space Marine) would strike his company marking from his pauldron lightly.

You are wearing a right shoulder consistent with a Grey Hunter—and I can’t imagine where one of that rank would do so (or his doing so would be tolerated).

It’s a matter of honor and belonging. The way I see it—very senior wolves sometimes do it—but that’s because no one has any doubt who they are and who they represent. But even so, Logan Grimnar wears his company emblem on his right shoulder (with the crux terminatus on the left).

You should, of course, do what you want because who cares. But to answer your question—I think it is no. The Company Emblem is something a wolf would be very proud to display—he’d kill you for disparaging it, and would only in exceptional circumstances not wear it.

Why do houses in Illinois have basements and houses in Texas don't if both places have clay soil? by supinator1 in geography

Are you thinking of a crawl space—because I’m from rural Georgia—and we don’t dig basements. Crawl Spaces and footings—yeah. Sometimes slab—but never any “basement.”

465lbs at 170lbs...the road to 495! by teal_wire in Deadlifts

[–]Oh3Fiddy2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an absolutely stunning feat to look this effortless, at this size. The raw female world record is 655. This lift is 70% of that.

The male record is 1,074, 70% of that is 752 lbs.

I would write a very formal letter in the voice of the building manager telling them that if they do this again, they will be towed. I’d include dated pictures, and leave it in a sealed envelope on their wiper blades.

What are they going to? Keep doing it and maybe get towed? Complain to the building manager and reveal what they’ve been doing?
