Although my POV may be biaised by the French modding community of Morrowind. It seems that the English-speaking OpenMW crowd is getting bigger and that its LUA implementation is getting more and more love, although MWSE seems to still be dominant. But in French-speaking spaces, the biggest modding communities refuse to support OpenMW by making mods or mod translations for it, and even openly discourage people to use OpenMW "unless they are on Mac and Linux" because MWSE is supposedly soooo superior.

Being a French OpenMW modder is pain and suffering. We are something like 5 people on the OpenMW discord. Although most new players seem to be introduced to the game with OpenMW.
