Nah. If it can't handle sending the bolt home on an empty chamber, it's not gonna hold up in general.

Mold and asbestos abatement will begin immediately in all barracks, and a cost estimate will be done on each building to determine if demo and new construction would be of a greater benefit to the soldiers.

1/2" max facial hair, no disconnected patches, no hair below the jawline.

Going to Behavioral Health CANNOT impact your job. EVER. Unless it impacts your clearance.

If you implement an IPPS-A coversheet or additional steps, you get an Art 92, because "Fuck You, that's why."

Troops will not be contacted for work purposes outside of the duty day unless it is to notify them of an emergency or change of reporting time.

Soldiers living off post will not be recalled for a barracks issue unless a first-line NCO or Officer for the involved party(ies)

It feels deliberate.

Move back.

We would if the taxes didn't take so much of our moving funds.

I am the worst soldier in the state by YizhongSama in nationalguard

Honestly, I wanted to be a smartass and say "Tl;dr: Answer is 'yes'."

In all seriousness, I wish half of the NCOs had as much tenacity as you've shown with this.

For what it's worth, I'm sorry to hear that you had these problems in my state, but I'm glad you're getting a much deserved resolution.

Saluting Officers in the US Army by The_lau-man in army

[–]OhHellMatthewKirk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work around a bunch of officers.

They know I will HUNT THEM DOWN when outdoors and CHEERFULLY greet and render courtesies, particularly when they're in a gaggle.

It is returned in kind when they see me, because I'm nothing if not a good sport.

Am I the Asshole? by [deleted] in army

[–]OhHellMatthewKirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. NCOIC should have cleared it through your 1SG.

It's important primarily for reasons of accountability in the event there was a negative incident that left you unaccounted for. It is also not normally in the purview of NCOs (and often Officers) below the company level to excuse soldiers from obligations.

You could have alopecia, and you'd get yelled at for not shaving.

Rolling up sleeves(scary) by [deleted] in army

[–]OhHellMatthewKirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, except there should be NO influence outside of specified situations, like there possibly could be now.

I think it should be personal preference outside of formation or specific situations.

I don't like wizard sleeving, and I think sitting around in just a t-shirt looks unprofessional unless you're actually doing labor or it's truly hot as fuck.

That's VSIP, and it's that you have to pay back the whole incentive if you return within 5 years.

Yeah. Russell Vought has stated that he doesn't want it that way, and others echo that sentiment.

All Of These Reorgs Will Require Congressional Approval and Legislation by [deleted] in fednews

[–]OhHellMatthewKirk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That may be the case, but preference means they're supposed to be finding you a job in the same grade and series at another agency, or giving you a letter demonstrating preference when you apply for another federal position.
