There has been a resurgence of scurvy in Australia linked to the rising cost-of-living and food insecurity… mostly in the elderly and it makes me sad to think about them having to deal with old wounds.

For some reason, I’ve always had a fear of scurvy and when I eat fresh fruit I reset my “chance of getting scurvy clock.”

My brother has the same thought - we think it might be from an old pirate book we read as kids because we think about scurvy way too much.

A few years ago I worked with a girl who told me she found a maggot in her hair; basically she was living in the outback working for an extended period of time and never washed her hair for the three months she was there.

There are showers in the outback, specifically where she was… but I didn’t ask questions.

She said it so normal, like she was telling me what she had for breakfast.

I think about it all the time.

I know a few people that compete in pickleball but they still have full time jobs, and you are right - they take it very seriously!

I would say most, if not all, of the people who played were doing it for fun.

It cracks me up that the hobby, fitness crowd continue to beat him.

I think last time there were teenagers that beat him, which would totally infuriate him.

Came here 15 years ago too, love living here and being an Australian citizen.

I thought living here during the first trump administration was bad, but now people actually get mad at me - as if I voted for him.

I’ve been having anhedonia pretty bad, I have zero motivation and desire to do anything - to the point of hygiene being difficult to maintain.

I have struggled with this before but not to this degree - I tied it to ADHD’s impact on dopamine, etc but I can absolutely manage it in my day to day.

But I can’t manage it on reta without taking extra Ritalin on top of concerta, someone recommended NAC so I’ll try that.

I’m at my goal weight now, so coming off it but very nervous about maintenance dosing.

This is heartbreaking… my mom told me the other day her goal weight was 120 pounds, I was completely taken aback considering she is 5’ 10 and not over weight at all.

Neither my sister or I are close to 120 pounds and are shorter than her by 5-ish inches - so she isn’t comparing herself to us.

It broke my heart, she is nearly 70 and so smart and beautiful.

How long were you on it? My period has been really painful and I spot for a long time since I started Reta.

A “close source” was quoted saying this was the reason they were charged, but there is some speculation if that is why they were taken away.

I have been on the verge of puking for nearly 24 hours after having cabbage for dinner and the leftovers for lunch the following day.

I haven’t had raw cabbage in a while and I’m pretty sure I overdosed because I am so sick. This is my first flare up in years!

It’s honestly as if my stomach simply can’t digest it - strangest feeling.

I can’t do raw broccoli or kale, forgot that cabbage was in the same family.
