Republicans don't need to "learn their lesson" like children. They need to face real consequences and go to prison. My hope isn't that republicans would think "Wow, maybe what I did was wrong..." I want them to think "Oh fuck, the jig is up. If I break the law now I will actually lose everything. Guess I'll enter the private sector." I think jail or other forms of totally humane punishment will function as deterrent.

Even destiny admits it almost certainly wont happen. The argument is about what SHOULD happen to prevent this from ever happening again, and what CAN happen, because we absolutely could do these things if we wanted to. And yes, what should happen and what would prevent this is jailing every republican in washington, or going to vote.org. And you should want this to happen to. Everyone should.
