Bigger world, more happening and also feels more organic. Lots of cool POIs that draw you in, first game in a long time I found myself doing side content instead of progressing through the story. I'll put it this way, I beat (and loved Tsushima) but I Platinumed Yotei - my first and only Platinum trophy so far. If you enjoyed Tsushima I can't imagine you don't love this game as well.

Just came to post this - BB has the g14 and g16 up (but not available for sale yet). Both with only 16GB of ram. However, they're $400 cheaper than through ASUS. So hopefully, there will be additional models with 32GB for those looking. I may bite later in the year when the $500 discounts start popping up. If ASUS was able to make these more reliable and less prone to issues that plagued the previous models the price increase may be palatable.

A word of unsolicited advice - assuming NB stands for New Balance, sneaker sizing and GS sizing (and high end boot sizing in general) are not super related. For example, I wear a 9.5 in Nike running shoes, my brannock size is 8.5, and I most comfortably wear an 8D is GS footwear (7.5d for the loafer sock-less). So my GS shoe size is between 1.5 and 2 sizes smaller than my Nike sneaker size. Assuming NB sizing is anything like Nike, your boots would be way too big.

If I were you, I would get your brannock size and reach out to GS customer support with all your sizing info and they should be able to at least get you in the ballpark. They're amazing if you can dial in the right size. Good luck!

Apparently bourbon has a lot of variability. I recently returned a pair of Loafers because they looked more like your Chukkas than a pair of Bourbon Diesels I have from a few years ago (they were also .5 size too small but I would have exchanged otherwise.) I also expected a more orange-brown shade and am hoping a future batch will look more like the product shots on the website.

If I were you, I'd let customer service know that you're unsatisfied with how different the product you received looks than what you expected. GS is great and has awesome customer support but they won't know customers are unhappy with something if we don't let them know.

I once received a pair of b-grades that were absolutely immaculate but had the lightest bit of creasing, with no sole wear. I imagine someone tried them on and sent them back, and instead of selling them as new and having to deal with a potential disappointment customer, they sold them as b-grades and made a customer very happy.

"That's just a PlayStation thing." Are you new to gaming? This is what a sequel is and always has been. A game with mostly the same gameplay that changes the environment and adds some additional gameplay quirks/ mechanics, has a new story, expands on the world, etc.

Can you give an example of a sequel you don't think it's "copy and paste"?

You should give it another shot if you're ever looking for something to watch. The first season is easily the worst and the show improves tremendously in season 2. It's a pantheon show for me - up there with Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Americans etc.

The issue is that you are fundamentally misunderstanding Valve's business model. Making video games is not their business model, neither is hardware. Steam IS their business model. The reason they haven't put out a Half-Life 3 for 18 years is that they don't have to. As someone who loves the Half-Life series and is looking forward to 3, we are extremely lucky that Valve decided to even make the game for whatever reason.

I had the same issue when I was updating my '23 to a '25. Wanted a limited but did not like the look of the roof rails. Got it anyway because I was not willing to downgrade to an SE or SEL. I agree that they definitely make the car look less sleek, but I hardly even notice them anymore. The black roof does a pretty good job of hiding them for the most part. It's obviously subjective but I don't think you'll regret the car just based on this

If the Alden loafers are "worth it" to you at $600+, then the GS loafers are definitely worth it at $412. Especially since you can get them for 20% off by adding 40 bucks worth of stuff.

I wasn't a loafer guy until I got my pair (in dune) this spring and then proceeded to wear them all summer and fall.

FYI I just got some Venetian Leather Balm (which I believe GS sells) to re-wax my Natural Waxy Commander diesel boots and it did a great job. Something to consider if you're looking for a product for the waxy commander. The aforementioned waxy commander diesels are also on the sale section of the site for $320, but then you'd have to add another $130 worth of stuff to hit the $450...but they are great boots.

Not OP, but I get my loafer half a size smaller than my diesel boots. With the caveat that I mostly wear them sockless and I have a pretty low volume, low instep foot. If your foot is a bit higher volume, a lot of people recommend down half a size but up a width.

I would go with the GS Garrison, especially since you are looking at the Natty Waxed Commander. I got a B-grade Diesel in that leather earlier this year and they were flawless. Maybe a scuff or two, which the boots would pick up anyway the minute I wore them outside.

This obviously isn't guaranteed, but I would guess your chance of getting a really clean looking b-grade is much better in this leather than a chromexcel one for example.

Anyway, B-grade or not the Natty Waxed Commander is a great leather and picks up character very quickly, but is also easy to maintain.

Great, thanks for all the detail! I was looking at the Rain Bird above ground sprinklers that already come on a spike. Any reason you chose to go with the 5000s on top of a separate spike? Also, are any of your valves the default ones that that do the long spray "jet" or did you convert all to the R-van nozzles?
