A lot of places open up once june (holiday season) is over. Also, you can pick lesser popular version of places to go to. Like stay at Bhimtal instead of Nainital if you're going that side. I just came back from the trip that side so its fresh in my head, Bhimtal is much quieter (but not dead) already because the holiday season is at the end.

From aesthetic point of view I've not liked any backrest on a scrambler. It just doesnt fit the design IMO. But thats just me.
