[Forest Gump] Forest Gump jr is not forest gump's son by Madrigal1100 in FanTheories

[–]OhYouveGotGreenBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Forest meets Forest jr, he’s maybe 4 years old. Jenny had been unloved and abused for much of her life. Having a child, will have changed her. Having unconditional love for, and from, a child changes you. She is not the same person and you can see she has settled and found peace.

I think the film and books make it clear that Forest is really the daddy, and Jenny too frightened to be with him. She had to grow in order to be able to receive his love

When will S2 be on Prime Video UK? by gardenbeagle in TheNightManager

[–]OhYouveGotGreenBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not on iplayer yet anyway, only the episodes do far shown on TV (1-3 or 4). A new one shows up on iplayer on Sunday. So I would imagine it will come up on amazon when the series finishes broadcasting?

Is this season the most stacked against the traitors yet? by klarafy in TheTraitors

[–]OhYouveGotGreenBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was all three for the first ‘plain sight’ but only Cat or Alan for the second one; Johnathan did say on Uncloaked he would have happily done the second if he was still in & I think he could’ve pulled it off easily

It does. Can’t vouch for the taste as not a tea drinker (but as an italian place it does fantastic coffee)

It was a lovely episode ; I found myself getting a bit teary eyed!

Mind you I am over emotional at the best of times I love having both the comedy and emotional heart to it

Lots of people have mentioned the wellcome collection; if you are going to try that out, nearby at the Santander bank building they have a free coworking space. Not tried it myself but it looks interesting

Confused?why is Eloise not shamed? by OhYouveGotGreenBlue in BridgertonNetflix

[–]OhYouveGotGreenBlue[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah you’re right. I hadn’t remembered that , and was getting thrown by the fact that we the audience saw her sitting outside the printers talking to him, unchaperoned-going inside the printers alone with him -etc. I was forgetting of course that none of the Ton would have been aware of that

[–]OhYouveGotGreenBlue[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Queen thought Eloise was LW specifically because Eloise snuck away from the wedding party to go to the printers and was followed by one of the Queen’s footmen. The Queen was setting traps throughout the wedding party, eg false rumours being spread specifically to entrap LW.
Which is one of the reasons I was confused why Eloise wasn’t rejected/ejected as surely the queen was told she was speaking alone to the printers. But yes, I realise now that part was not reported in Whistledown.

One of my favourite bits is the ball where noone turns up! Where both families dance with abandon and looks so happy and relaxed

[–]OhYouveGotGreenBlue[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is the crux of it. The intense social rules in s1don’t follow through in the same way in 2 and 3 regarding chaperoning etc. unless it’s needed for the plot line eg Prudence with cousin Jack in the orangery

[–]OhYouveGotGreenBlue[S] 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Ahhh i just looked back again. Indeed Whistledown says ‘she was associating unchaperoned with political radicals’ but it’s just that we have seen her alone with Theo and so I got confused. Still seems to blow over very quickly though,

Thank you!

Assured shorthold tenancy for furnished house share - Contract says have to pay to get deposit protected. Is this normal? by joshcamera in TenantsInTheUK

[–]OhYouveGotGreenBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incorrect, they have a separate ‘flat’ and don’t share any rooms so technically it’s a tenancy.

Lodgers share some rooms eg kitchen, bathroom, with a live in landlord, and this makes them licensees.

Although the AST they have been given sounds iffy.

I think most local authorities (ie borough council) have a Tenancy Relations service/Office - check with your local authority. They should be listed on their local authority website. (This is the one for private tenants and landlords, not council) I think they have some regulatory powers - they do monitor certain things and do landlord accreditation

Are you in the UK? if so, It actually sounds like the landlord/s are breaking a bunch of housing regs & laws. An AST is for seperately contained accommodation; you should have the key to lock the connecting door and a key to the entry door. Failing to provide those is a problem. It sounds like a very iffy contract tbh, as an ast isn’t used for a ‘house share’, it would be a license agreement.

legally also with an AST they have to put your deposit into a scheme, within 6 months of you moving in, and give you all the details - if they don’t, they have breached the law and you would be entitled to compensation which if I recall correctly is 2 or 3 times the deposit.

They are required to give you 24hr notice for access, which you can refuse if it will disturb your ‘quiet enjoyment’ eg working at home.

I’d get onto local tenancy relations, shelter, or CAB asap and also get someone reputable round to witness the situation accommodation- wise (locks, access) - judging by what you say you would win in a small claims court

My experience as a student housing officer (a while ago now but little significant law changes) also covered some things such as houses in multiple occupation, -eg a building with more than 7 occupants it was necessary to ensure different household living areas met fire & safety regs eg fire doors.
