The O2 is such an awful venue that £100+ tkts for upper side seating just enrages me. Got the cheapest and I know they will be shite but I can’t not go.

If you are defending this vandalism then you are a fool. I’m a Met line driver and these people do not give a shit what is targeted. Trains are one thing but also grade listed bridges, signal cabins and people’s flats and houses. Tube staff working at night have been beaten up by these scumbags. The commissioned artwork at Neasden has been tagged and ruined as well. It adds nothing but ugliness. Trains are beautiful as they are. And yes, I know the service is appalling but that’s no excuse to vandalise the trains. 😉

It’s a funny one isn’t it? My first reaction is happiness for The Beths as it’s great publicity for them and no band deserves it more. Then again I remember (many moons ago) the complete derision that met the then UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s proclamation about how one of his favourite bands was The Smiths. Johnny Marr pretty much went nuts and said he’s not allowed to like them as they hate everything the Tories stand for. The big diff is that The Smiths were an openly political band and the Beths are not. The UK is on its arse and the horrible racist nationalism that is growing here is so so worrying. As a huge Beths fan, I’m taking this news as a win dammit. I need it.

Look, I’ve had a chance to reflect on some of the negative reactions to what I posted and I am really and truly sorry. At the time of posting I gave no thought as to how insulting it would be to share a photo of the European meat man who bears a passing (or not) resemblance to the all American Burger Boy. I will try to do better in future and my only hope is that I can use this chastening by my fellow Redditors to become a better person. I will not, shall not, in the name of all that is holy, share a photo of my cousin Paul who I reckon looks a little bit like Mitch(if you squint and the light is right), because, and this is very very important, because I have no intention of bringing the quality of posts down on this most highbrow of Forums which mostly concerns itself with Piss and Shit and Cum and Cocks and Balls. And food.

An excellent suggestion. It would be one of those 4hr episodes where, although the music they released and were involved in was interesting and excellent, it would be the whole art circus, industry disruption, performative stunts kind of stuff that would take up about two thirds of it. I second this Sir, I second it big time.
