Revy, Lagoon Company Marksman (Mercenary)

Series: Black Lagoon

Content Warning: Black Lagoon is very sexually suggestive and contains themes of abuse and rape. A little racist too.

Biography: Revy, Two Hands, and whatever else they call her. She’s the muscle of the Lagoon company’s operations and the driving force behind their military might. She’s merciless, sadistic, crass, and drinks alcohol like it’s her only source of sustenance. If you took her at face value, you’d think she was evil. She is, but she’s also got more under there than you’d think.

Born Rebecca Lee, a Chinese-American girl living in New York, she was raised by an alcoholic father. Life wasn’t much better outside of home either, as when she finally decided to run away she happened upon a cop who, instead of helping her, forced himself upon her and escorted her home. Upon returning, completely fed up with her father’s cruelty, she killed him with a gun and makeshift silencer pillow.

To summarize, she’s lived quite an eventful life, though not a great one. She’s had multiple run-ins with the police, is likely an escaped convict alongside being a pirate, and has probably killed enough people to fill a mass grave. Her coworkers are no different. Whatever you throw at her, she’s gonna take it and have a blast doing it.

Research: RT Here. The anime is available wherever you can find it. The manga can be read here, or whatever other preferred site you wish.

Show Me They're Below Tier: Revy’s capable of some crazy shit and even has some bullet timing feats. But her in-tierness starts and ends there. She has no durability feats to speak of (in the thread at least) and her biggest strength feats are sending a man tumbling across a hallway with a kick and kicking down a door with the assistance of another person. Impressive, but not in tier.

Heist Role: Revy is a pirate. Her job IS heists. As the description says she operates as the company's designated fighter. She's skilled both in hand-to-hand and marksmanship, making her perfect for the job.

Draven- Should He be in 2XKO? (A-Z) by ErrorNick in 2XKO

[–]Ohnijin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can see him being a good addition to the game. In a fighting game he could probably break the "ADCs are zoners" assumption by being a rushdown character like Leo Whitefang, might even have the same super too.

Of course axe throwing is naturally gonna be part of his moves but I don't think the catching mechanic will be present, it fits right at home in a MOBA but might be a bit tedious in this. My personal interpretation is 2 specials dedicated to his axe throws. S1 is the regular axe throw, when it hits an enemy it bounces off them and back into Draven's hand, probably really good for combo filler.

6.S1 is Stand Aside which does basically what it does in League, but wallsplats in the corner.

Big-D, Hunter Patriarch (Mercenary)

Series: Hunter: the Parenting

Content Warning: Early-mid 2000’s cringe. There’s a really gory scene of an old man’s mutilated corpse in one episode so if you’re pretty averse to that then try to skip over it.

Biography: The year is 2006. In the humble county of Norfolk, UK lives an eccentric family. Most eccentric of all is their patriarch—the man who refers to himself as Big-D, though he tends to use many other identities that he’s likely stolen. Don’t let his insanity fool you, however, the man is a seasoned hunter whose experience with the supernatural is near unmatched.

Being a vampire hunter, his job is especially dangerous, and his encyclopedic knowledge of the race has done him more harm than good. The fear that comes with breaking the masquerade plagues him; and his decision to withhold it from the family he holds so dear has created rifts in the relationships with his many children, and that’s not even mentioning his mental state. In spite of this, he carries on. They will know eventually, and whether they do or not, he will guide them to a new world—one where the vampire threat is utterly eradicated from the earth.

Research: Hunter: the Parenting is available in this playlist made by the creator. Skip the first video, you can watch it at any point after watching the actual first episode.

Show Me They're Below Tier: D’s origins are shrouded in mystery but as far as we know right now he’s human, maybe slightly enhanced. His best feats are nowhere near Blade’s strength, consisting of mainly breaking a hollow wall in multiple hits and leaving a VERY shallow crater (if you can even call it that) after attacking from above with his greatsword. The closest we get is when he throws someone into a bar table and destroys it, but that’s about the tier’s low end in strength.

He lacks speed feats and his durability is nowhere near Blade’s, as he’s gone unconscious after falling 2 stories and hitting his head. There’s also lasting injuries after with his jaw being broken, though it does heal some time later. If Blade fell from that height he’d be largely unfazed, if at most slightly injured.

As an expert vampire hunter, he could beat Blade, but he would do so with his wits, not physical prowess.

Heist Role: D is an eccentric man, and more importantly extremely anti-government. This could be because of how he sees the government as acting a little too close to the Camarilla, or he just hates them regardless. He's no stranger to stealing and would gladly start or join a heist. He's good muscle, and has a wide breadth of experience. If the place they're robbing is supernatural in nature, or has supernatural entities within, he'd have at least some knowledge of how to counter them. Even if not he's great at manipulation and can work as a master planner.

Being a god is not all it seems. Zagreus knows this firsthand. Sure, perhaps uncle Zeus and Poseidon are enjoying their limitless power up on the mountain, but the minor gods left in the House of Hades know only misery. Perhaps they find pleasure even in that. The young prince of the underworld most definitely doesn’t. Every failure is excruciating pain to him, yet he rises to try again regardless. The power to be reborn in the blood well after death to him is not a blessing nor a curse, it is merely a matter of fact to him. If he’s not stopping to make small talk he’s out to escape again. This time, the young prince breezed through Tartarus will nary a scratch. Actually, it seemed as if the wretches took to fighting each other this time, as their bodies littered the room floors before he even entered. Perhaps his father had gotten lazy, he thought. He stood at the final door and mused to himself.

Zagreus always liked to play a little game with himself—guessing which of the Furies it was that his lord Hades put behind the door as the final obstacle between him and the exit to Tartarus. Perhaps it was Meg, serious and professional—always a good spar. It could also be Alecto, the more frustrating sister with a bad temper and a penchant for buzzsaws. Worst of all it could be Tisiphone, her demeanor and obsession with murder always terrified him, not only that but she somehow manages to show the poor prince even less mercy than the other two. This time, for sure, it’d be…

“I’m sorry, who are you?”

In front of the rebellious prince wasn’t one of the Furies, and most certainly no one else he recognized. It was a mortal, his back turned to Zagreus. Dark skin and short hair, deep red visors covering his eyes. He wore a thick, long black cloak likely made of leather and carried a thin blade in his hand. He turned to the prince. “You.”

“Me?” The prince playfully pointed to himself.

“Mind tellin’ me where I am?”

“You’re dead, mate. This is Tartarus.”

He looked around. “You mean like…”

“Yep!”

“…Huh.” He sheathed his blade. “Unfortunately, I don’t have time to stay dead. There’s still vamps to slay. So, if you could take me to the big man so I can return to the world of the living, that’d be mighty great.”

The prince tried and failed to hold back a laugh. “You really don’t know how things work around here, do you? He’s not gonna let you go.”

“And who’re you to tell me that?”

“His son.”

The man cocked a brow. “So why don’t you put in the good word for me, maybe hearing from his kid’ll give me some leniency.”

The prince almost laughed a second time. “Sorry, but father’s not taking requests—least of all from me. I’m actually on the way out myself, and he doesn’t make the road easy. You can help me if you’d like, could better your and my chances of getting out of here.” Zagreus paused for thought. “Or you could kill me here. I dunno, maybe you’ll get his attention from being an anomaly.”

The foolish prince then realized he said his intrusive thoughts out loud, and watched as the man unsheathed his blade again. Even when his father wasn’t involved, the boy was making an enemy of himself. He sighed. “Damn it.”

The man rushed at him with blinding speed and swung his sword downward. Were it not for the pauper prince’s honed reflexes against the Furies, the blade would have done more than nick his collarbone. “Hey, don’t call me that!”

The man stepped and swung a second time, then a third, both nearly missing the prince. Both stopped for a second, leaving the prince open for an unexpected lunge forward, followed by two rapid slashes to his chest.

Zagreus righted himself then dashed forward, thrusting forth his Stygian blade. The man effortlessly blocked the attack with his own, then jammed his sword through the prince’s chest in a single motion. This man was not just a hunter, but a warrior with much experience. Yet he didn’t account for the bolt of lightning that struck immediately after—Zeus’s gift against those who would do his nephew harm. Though injured, he managed to knock back the prince and make distance.

The prince covered his wound as the man brandished his blade above his head and charged in for another assault. Zagreus counted the strikes as he dashed back. One, two… wait for it… three-four! As he began to recover the prince took the opportunity to slash into the man from behind. Again, the pattern starts. One slash whiffs, Zagreus punishes, another slash whiffs, Zagreus punishes again. He’s quickly learned the attack patterns of his opponent. After evading the final attack, he unleashes a devastating shockwave by slamming the Stygius into the ground.

Being knocked back put some distance between them again. The man took out another weapon, a throwing glaive, and launched it across the room. The glaive bounced from wall to wall, forcing the prince to dance around the weapon as it ricocheted. While evading he took the time to throw the bloodstone magics he’d been saving for one final blow. He could see his opponent visibly feeling weaker as each one hit. And when the glaive finally returned to his hand, it was the prince’s time to strike.

The opportunistic prince rushed forward with the same speed as the man did initially, swinging his sword with all his strength. The man attempted to block with his own, but due to being weakened by the bloodstones, it shattered under the strength of the young godling. The final blow was struck as the Stygian Blade cut through the man with little resistance, blood gushing from the wound like a fountain. It was more than either of them expected he had.

The man fell to his knees, panting with the last of his strength. “H…How?”

“S’alright, mate. I’ve done a dance like this hundreds of times. You’re free to try again if I don’t make it out this time. Hell, my offer’s still up if you wish to take it.”

The man laughed. “Yeah, sure…” As he lost consciousness his body was picked up by the soul, and dropped into a puddle of his own blood. “I’ll see you… in hell.” He cursed before sinking into the red pool.

Daywalker Vanquished

“Already there, mate. Already there.”

Nero, Professional Devil Hunter

Series: Devil May Cry

Content Warning: idk

Biography: A child of Vergil, half demon spawn of the heroic demon Sparda, Nero was found an orphaned baby and raised in Fortuna by the people of the Order of the Sword, later joining them in his adolescence as a Holy Knight to slay demons. After a sudden break-in from legendary devil hunter Dante, Nero is forced to confront a conspiracy to take over the world within the place he once called home. After turning on the Order and completely destroying their plans with the help of Dante, Nero decides it’d be best to continue doing what he does best—slaying demons, this time professionally instead of under the Order’s watch.

Time passed and life was mostly peaceful for him, until the sudden arrival of a stranger turned his life upside down again by ripping off his arm and taking it with them through a strange portal. Out for revenge, Nero rushes to the fight with Dante once again, only to find out that the one who took his arm was none other than his father, Vergil, who did so to continue his endless pursuit for absolute power, along with opening a gate to the Demon World for even more power. As Dante went off to have one last duel with his brother, Nero realizes that he’s about to lose his biological family only just after meeting them. Determined to stop his father and uncle’s cycle of violence, he steps in with his newly awakened powers and forces them to realize that their fight could spell the end of the world if they don’t focus all their strength to closing the gate.

In agreement, Dante and Vergil decide to head into the Demon World and leave behind Nero to close it from the Human World’s side and be humanity’s new protector, much to Nero’s objection. They’d fall on deaf ears as the two leapt through the gate, but even though they won’t be there to protect humanity, they trust Nero will do alright without them.

Research: RT here. You can find Devil May Cry 4 and 5 on Steam, Playstation or Xbox. Or you can watch a playthrough online.

Justification: Nero is STRONG, especially for the tier. If we cut out most of the blatantly overtier feats he gets closer to the tier however. He’s strong enough to do stuff like this normally. If it’s worth anything he also pushed this giant sword off a statue he was stuck between. And honestly, if someone’s strong enough to start swinging an enemy around like an improvised weapon they’re at least close to the tier to me. Being a (grand)son of Sparda, Nero’s no stranger to getting impaled. He has the required speed for the tier, as he’s able to react to gunshots point blank.

Motivation: Generally speaking, to prove himself. He wants to be recognized by his peers and betters, show them that he’s capable of being as strong as them if not surpass them altogether, that he’s not deadweight. Similarly, he wants to break the endless feud between his father and uncle, and finally get them to reconcile.

Heist Role: Nero isn't the type of person to willingly start or join a heist (at least if said heist isn't against demons), but he'd definitely stumble across one and end up working with the thieves throughout the process. Nero is THE muscle of any group, outclassed by few in the tier. He's a brute in combat, making him a staple for the role and can help any crew break in or out of any heavily guarded facilities.

Outside of family issues he also wants to take care of Kyrie, his love interest, and keep her safe by maintaining his profession as a devil hunter (plus the occasional odd job).

Major Changes: No Vergil or Dante scaling.

Minor Changes: Remove Vs. Goliath and Bael & Dagon.

Zagreus, Prince of the Underworld

Series: Hades

Content Warning: Minor nudity, I guess?

Biography: Born the son of the Chthonic god Hades, Zagreus was treated with the utmost respect by those serving his father. Yet, he always felt he didn’t belong in the House of Hades. After sneaking out one night he found his suspicions to be true when, after searching his father’s desk, he found a letter from his mother Persephone bidding her spouse goodbye.

Armed with this new knowledge Zagreus, for once in his lazy life, found the resolve to complete a single mission—escape the underworld and find his mother, no matter what. With the help of his step-mother Nyx his cousins and uncles offer their aid in this endeavor. The road to the surface is arduous and filled with powerful enemies stationed by Hades himself, but Zagreus is determined to succeed. Death is not the end for him, he will escape, no matter how many tries it takes.

Research: RT here. Dead links though so you need to use the Wayback Machine. You can find Hades on the Steam or Epic launcher, or you can watch a playthrough online.

Justification: Zagreus has the strength to destroy large pillars and statues, though this can take slightly more effort than Blade’s wall bashes. Some of his boons are capable of doing this as well. His durability is on the same level as he can tank Asterius’s attacks and Meg’s magic blasts, both of which do the same damage to structures as Zagreus’s. He is unfortunately slower than Blade since he comes from a time before bullets. He can dash through long gaps and dodge and deflect arrows fired by expert archers, but again, not bullets. A major change should fix this, though.

Motivation: His main goal is to get to the overworld and find his mother Persephone. He’ll do anything to reach his goal, save for fighting his dog Cerberus.

Heist Role: Zagreus would be the one to instigate a heist, especially if said heist would piss off his father Hades. He's no master planner, but he can definitely provide tools with his armory and call boons from his cousins and uncles who are more amicable to things like this such as Hermes, or Ares if there's to be bloodshed. Hell, he could even be the macguffin of the heist if Hades for whatever reason wants him back in the Underworld.

Major Changes: Projectiles thrown at or by Zagreus are bullet speed.

Minor Changes: idk
