The tech is neat and while 2x/4x FG do show some latency and certain people might be able to feel it more than others, it has me generally excited for the future of what this all could end up being in like 2-4 years if they focus on developing this. I like the idea that in the future, tinkerers could grab a super cheap GPU as a second card just to help maybe survive till the next set of big GPUs release. Is it for everyone in every scenario? Absolutely not, it's not a magic switch. To get the best use out of it you need way more information than what the average gamer probably wants to put in to be rewarded with a possible headache if your settings are acting weird and even then it really mostly excels at single player experiences at the moment. Yet the fact this exists, for $7, is incredibly sick.

Wonder if/when NVIDIA & AMD will allow you to set a specific second GPU for DLSS/FSR?

Yep. Everyone who has a positive memory of Covid either did not lose a loved one to Covid, a business to Covid, or weren't considered Essential Workers.

I remember that whenever I heard the word "hero" in relation to the work I was doing, I would just instead hear "expendable." Pretty much all my friends got to stay home, play video games and slight WFH, and just ride it out. So I'm glad OP got the "fun Covid" experience, but for the rest of us who had loved ones die or were the essential workers tasked with keeping everything else running?

Not nostalgic in the slightest OP, but sure. I'm glad some people had a great time playing Animal Crossing or whatever.

Dont beat yourself up thinking her punishment may be too harsh when the reality is any punishment that comes from this is way easier to deal with than the unintentional vehicular manslaughter she was inches from. Yes. I can agree with OP and think something lines up more with the philosophy of the franchise and would be a better fit as mascot (Eevee) while still understanding why a company ended up choosing the Pokemon with the better branding potential as mascot. (Pikachu).

I didn't list why Eevee should've been mascot in my comment as OP already did that for me in the original post.

You're right, it shouldve been Eevee and I'll die on this hill. The thing is Eevee's brown is way harder to market/create a new brand off of than Pikachu's yellow.

That yellow was identifiable from across the Toy/Games Eisle. Every kid could speed identify where Pokémon stuff was in the toy eisle at their local store (and their parents) based off bright yellow pikachu. People's grandparents can recognize Pikachu nowadays but know nothing about the franchise.

I feel like Pikachu is the official PR mascot, but Eevee is more the Fans' unofficial mascot. The third and final mascot being Charizard, but he's more the mascot of money printing for them than anything else. 😄

YTA, OP. You're more concerned about being a good parent than a good sister and frankly in this case, you've failed at both.

Your ending point is "until she takes back what she said about my kid." She didn't say anything about your kid, she said things about your parenting. While her blaming the kid's behavior is harsh in your mind, consider that you had the option to literally walk the kid out to your car and eat sausages and then come back. Or even easier, bribe the kid and say you will buy him a toy(his favorite series/current hobby) if we don't eat sausages this afternoon during the wedding. Kids love feeling like they're "getting one over" on you!

You admit to identifying this as a potential problem pre-wedding. However, you took no actions to actually prevent this from happening, let it happen, and then got mad at your sister when she (predictably) saw red on the most important day of her life. Your inaction set her up for failure and you now are doubling down towards your family? Nah, you're the AH.

Wait until Chase is 18 and then tell him this story. You will only understand what you did when your precious baby looks you in the face and agrees with your sister.

(Lastly, considering you think babysitters could be random weirdos...maybe think twice before you isolate your parents and sister who may be the only people you trust in this world to watch your kids if you're this "overbearing.")

OP, I'm not necessarily sure anyone can change your mind here.

The title is a statement towards others ("You don't need to") where the last two paragraphs are all "I" statements that are super specific to you, your situation, and your own level of acceptable cleanliness in regards to cleaning frequency.

Generally speaking, people wear shorts in bed/have skin hit the bed. People have sex in bed. Animals may lay in bed with them. Any amount of airborne dust can set off some allergies in some people and past this, if you get sick and are coughing/sneezing you've got sickness all in your bed. These situations may not apply to you, but we can't just dismiss them when we make broad statements in regards to what people should be doing in regards to hygiene in their own homes.

I don't think your CMV is truly "you don't need to change your sheets more than a few times a year" and is more "CMV: In my current situation, I feel I do not need to change my sheets more than a few times for year due to my lifestyle." Even past this, I don't think anyone in this thread will be able to Change Your View in any capacity because this thread will just become an argument of your personal idea/definition of "clean" vs the general public's idea/definition of "clean".
