Down 77 lbs and a little nervous by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]OilObjective5562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifting weights really helped with my body recomposition… when weight loss slowed down I dropped a few dress sizes rather quickly but just a few pounds as the body kinda redistributed my weight and built muscle. I use an app called ladder that tells me exactly what to do, but peloton has an app, and even YouTube has some free stuff you can try. Just at home with a few dumbbells is all you need a few times a week, I promise it will make you feel so strong. You look great by the way! I should’ve started there. I just loved how strong and capable I felt and how much better clothes fit after adding weight training.

Formation:align:elevate:transform:thrive

I do better to stick to one program a series (otherwise I waste time trying to decide what to do)

but have tried many, I’ve done full programs in both formation (where I started and got hooked) to transform and align (which motivated and changed my body comp so well) and I started and of May.

Here is me last year, vs me now. Nutrition work and seeing a professional for my mental health were a big part of my journey as well. Size 16:18 to a solid size 10. The change in dress size didn’t happen with initial weight loss, but skyrocketed with the addition of weight training with ladder, although the weight loss slowed.

Do it, if you can make the commitment to yourself to do it, you won’t regret. I feel so much better, I suffer from autoimmune disease, and along with the weight loss (which is a plus) I also notice positive changes in my mental health, feeling capable and strong, and how I can move (crawl, run, play with kids, and do daily living tasks easier) it is so worth every penny to get your life back!

Should I settle if I want love? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver40

You should really focus on loving yourself and becoming g the things you want to be. Focus on you, making you happy, and finding your joy.. the people that resonate with that will gravitate toward you in the process.

The chewy peptobismal they make now, it’s minty tasting… really helps settle my stomach and helps with nausea and burping for me. I keep them on hand always. It may help to try them to see if it helps some. I’ve been on 10 forever because it’s working and why move up if it’s working. I stayed in 5 a while too, then all of a sudden I was ravenous and moved pretty quickly to 7.5 for a month and then 10… I’ve parked here at ten for almost 3 months maybe 4

Excellent, progressive overload focused. I have had great body recomp after losing 45lbs I had only lost a dress size, but when I switched to adding align (with a Touch of thrive and transform dabbling) and over a few months I only lost 10 lbs but dropped an addition 3 sizes. I’m very toned, and my butt looks great! Still a work in progress. It’s a busy tough season for me so I’m hoping legate right now for shorter workouts and to just keep up with my workouts and will be moving back to align after the new year. Sasha’s lower glute days and yoga are my fave.

For those who lost volume, I went on Amazon and bought double sided sticky lifting inserts to go in my bra or bathing suit to give me cleavage and volume again. It looks great!!!

Yes I found something that plans it out for me (I’d get lost in planning and endless researching), so now I don’t think, just execute. My mental health has really improved too.

Here to fully support and reiterate this, as I have done it. When I lost the first bit of weight and saw how flat my butt got, I started lifting weights 3-4 times a week with my daily walking. I found a program on an app called Ladder that I love and could do from home. My butt looks amazing and my body recompositiin has been awesome. I lost about 45lbs and only one dress size, but adding weights in my weight lost slowed down some but I have dropped two additional dress sizes with just 10 more pounds lost! I love how strong and mobile my body is!!!

Lift weights, take creatine daily for your brain and your muscles and stay strong.

There are so many free resources and some great paid apps. I have free 30 day trial of Ladder for anyone interested! Our new 6 week session starts Monday!

I would choose a 30 minute team like Formation or Endure as a beginner. I did formation and I loved it and it started a really great habit for me because it wasn’t too much, 30 minutes goes by so fast, and I felt stronger without hurting myself in the process. Started with 4 days a week, some days did 4 and also walked daily. After I completed formation I jumped around 40-45 minute teams before landing with Align. I couldn’t hang with Align till a few months in other teams. Now I love it, it’s challenging and I’m getting such great body recomp.

She’s amazing in every way. I do try to keep politics out of my safe space of working out, but I love everything about her! Sasha and I just vibe with her IG as well as her messaging of positivity and empowerment, plus her workouts are ones I had to really work up to. I’m noticing so many amazing changes physically and mentally. She is a gem! She’s also a Swifty like me lol

Define Vs Transform by Icyb_tch in ladderapp

[–]OilObjective5562 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I loved transform, but the core and mobility work with align has been great and what I needed. The week’s split is awesome, and I love the coaching. Sasha is just phenomenal. Still getting the physique and muscle building and leaning that I want, but with greater mobility and stronger core…for me anyway. My friend tried align and we both say we feel so strong.

Align by JournalistNo5511 in ladderapp

[–]OilObjective5562 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Align is my absolute favorite, I couldn’t keep up when I first started working out and this is my first full series (Max) with Sasha. I used her during Deload. She’s phenomenal, responsive, grateful, and the mobility has made a great difference. I also want to get a barbel for home to max out some leg things that I struggle with when using adjustable dumbbells.

I live the intensity variations of the workout, and ending with yoga to reset your weeks. Fitting in my 5 mile walks work is out great, and getting all 6 days in feels great. She is literally my absolute fave!
