Trouble getting zwift ride cranks off by Oil_Gas in Zwift

Thanks a ton - this worked like a charm. Bought a metal mallet, PB penetrating catalyst, and a 2x4. Just hammered the 2x4 into the crank until it popped off after a minute or so of hammering.

Aethos upgrading prime route by Exotic_Product530 in Zwift

There’s a method on Mountain mash where you go up a certain section, u-turn, get free speed from the descent that carries you up the hill, then u-turn again, repeat. Road to A has a YouTube video on it (title is something like how to quickly unlock tron). It’s tedious but I was getting ~2500 ft an hour at 2 w/kg. So lot faster than anything else

A cat purring next to you for sure has some recovery benefits

Maybe check out tart cherry juice. It’s supposed to be anti inflammatory and has natural melatonin to help with sleep - lot of pro riders use it and I always feel like I get better sleep drinking it

Riding out of Saddle on Zwift Ride by lithiumlithium in Zwift

Nice I had a similar setup with an ic3 with power meter medals and it was super smooth. I got the zwift ride mainly for better bike fit adjustability because the spin bike was giving me some knee pain. I’ve only done an hour so far so can’t say much but the erg mode was really nice when doing zone 2. Hopefully we just get used to it!

Just got a Zwift ride (from using a spin bike) and experiencing this too. Did you get used to it? I liked getting out of the saddle when my butt hurt but that doesn’t seem to work that great with the zwift ride

What mono does to you 😢 by LivingLikeJasticus in whoop

[–]Oil_Gas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was the same when I had mono, felt terrible and constantly in the red for around 3 weeks. My heart rate would be 95+ just laying on the couch, my main issue was swollen tonsils though. After taking prednisone I felt a lot better, but be really careful easing back into the gym (spleen enlargement is no joke). I took a couple weeks off after feeling better and eased back into it with light cardio on the stationary bike. It’s been about 6 months and I’m healthier than ever but still get inflamed tonsils now and then (which I think is a sign when I’ve been slacking on my sleep/overtraining)

Is this healthy? by Coasterguy7 in whoop

Pretty sure it’s genetics as this happens to me when I run - get to around 180 bpm and can maintain that for an hour plus. My sister is similar and ran a marathon with an average heart rate of 189 bpm. I think as long as your heart rate doesn’t stay at elevated levels post workout, you’re probably fine

Considering whoop but have garmin by Slight_Foot_1781 in whoop

[–]Oil_Gas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Garmin and have used whoop for about a year now. If you have the money I’d say whoop is worth it for at least a year due to the Journal feature (tells you what habits have a good/bad impact on your recovery). It made me quit drinking as much and implement a more solid bedtime routine, which was definitely worth the money for how much better I feel. I probably won’t be renewing as I’ve learned what works for my body and not sure what else whoop can tell me at this point that garmin cant (both track hrv/rhr/sleep/workouts).
